The light was slowly fading away and Rhian couldn't help but to watch as the sun gave off it's last rays of light for the day. They streached as far as they could, but slowly the sun was dragged below the tree line, plunging the park into darkness. There was a couple seconds delay, but soon the lights flicked on with a soft buzz, warming the paths with the man made light. People were slowly leaving the park, only an odd group of people here and there still walking along the grass.
Rhian sat on a small wooden bench, his eyes adjusting to the changing light as he watched the people that left the area near him. He had just wandered away from home, taking in the sites and just relaxing in general. It seemed to him that he had been meeting a lot of strange people lately and although they weren't bad, it was just odd all over. He shook his head with a small chuckle as he thought about it. A vampire, and a girl that someone had been trying to kill. He gave a sigh and glanced up, looking at some of the stars he could see now that the sun was down. He seemed to have a way of ending up in lots of trouble as of late.
His gaze was pulled from the stars as he felt a chill crawl up his spine. He glanced around the park, not seeing anyone or feeling a breeze at all. He sighed and brushed it off as the chill went away. It happened now and then to him, but Rhi simply thought of it as a reaction to a slight wind that he wouldn't otherwise notice. With another sigh he pushed himself off of the bench and started to walk. He pushed his hands into his pockets, the blue jeans looking dark in the night light as his black hoodie kept him bundled from anything that might cause him irritation.

Ophelia looked about the streets. New York was a very interesting place to be. She loved the way the air smelled, she loved the buildings and she even loved the people as mean as they could be! But the thing she loved most about New York was the gorgeous riches it had. There were several billionaires in New York. And billionaires had lots of stuff Ophelia loved to steal. She stretched as she headed into the park. It had only been a few days since she had stolen the Tiffany’s yellow diamond from the museum. She still had the high from stealing.
It seemed that a lot of people were leaving the park. Of course when everyone left that made it the perfect time to go! Ophelia stretched her arms in the air as she walked. She almost tripped but quickly caught herself. She looked about and there was no one to see her be clumsy except one person lying on the bench. “Hey kid. Don’t you have a bedtime?” Ophelia said harshly. He looked younger then what Ophelia thought but he was probably older.

Rhian glanced up and over at the red head that spoke to him. He was quiet for a moment before he let out a soft chuckle. "Oh? And what's an old lady like your self going to do about it?" He shook his head, irritated. He was only seventeen but come on, and what was with that tone of voice? He hadn't been doing anything but admiring the stars. He sighed and pushed himself off of the bench, watching the other lady.
"Your rude much you know that? I'm just here to enjoy some quiet time and watch the stars. So why don't you keep your mouth shut or at least talk civilly." Rhi shook his head slightly. He had no problems speaking his mind and that often times got him into trouble. But he didn't care. He would probably never see this strange red haired chick again.

“Hey don’t call me old! I’m not old!” Ophelia rebutted. She was glaring at the Gothic kid with the Emo hairstyle. She certainly did not like being old. “Better to be old than a baby!” she finally said after she thought about her comeback. She crossed her arm and walked towards the kid. It wasn’t as if she was going to hit him though she looked as if she might like to throw down a punch of five. She saunted and then sat on the bench.
“What does your kind know anything of speaking civilly?” Ophelia countered. By ‘his kind’ she meant of course Goths/Emo’s which seemed anything but civil in their quests to be ‘nonconformists’. She crossed her arms and crossed her legs. If the kid got anything right then he was right that she was rude. Some days Ophelia wasn’t up for playing ‘nice’ in fact most of the time she was downright rude. No playing required. Ophelia closed her eyes. She did not feel bad for being mean but finally said something nonchalant like. “What’s so interesting about the stars?” in a neutral tone.

Rhian sighed and rolled his eyes at her come back. "Better than a baby? That's really sad you know that right? You would have looked better if you hadn't opened your mouth at all." He leaned back on the bench as he talked, watching the red head move closer. He could care less if she actually hit him or not. He would just hit the girl back anyway. Rhian didn't care at all if someone was male or female. A hit was a hit. However, he hadn't really expected the girl to sit down with him on the bench. Rhi gave her a strange look before he sighed and shook his head.
“What does your kind know anything of speaking civilly?” Rhi gave a laugh as he shook his head. "My kind? What is my kind persay? And this coming from someone who insulted me when I was doing nothing but sitting? Your a strange old lady." A smile crossed his face as she shook his head once again. He was just running into more and more strange people as of late. Lots of strange girls anyway.
His eyes drifted from the red head and up, watching the stars once again when she had questioned him about them. "They are peaceful. They never change and they hold so many different legends and folklores with them." His eyes scanned the stars, finding patterns and planets. Rhi shook his head and glanced back down. "So, got a name old lady or am I just going to have to call you old lady all the time?"

“Ophelia,” Ophelia finally said after a very long pregnant pause. She didn’t bother looking at the kid while she spoke but she joined him in looking up at the stars. “And you’d look better if it didn’t look like your ribs are going to break out of that tight shirt anytime soon!” This was probably the closest thing she had to a friendly conversation all month. She usually was quite a recluse. She ate, slept, stole, shopped all without opening her mouth. She wasn’t at all a Jersey Girl or someone who could really win a verbal fight. She was downright horrible at insults.
‘You know. Emo/Goth, probably homeless.” Ophelia said matter of factly. “Your kind.” She finished her odd statement which was probably false. But who cared about lies? They were probably more interesting than the truth. Though Ophelia had said he was skinny enough that his ribs would probably break out of his shirt he was rather very attractive in a sort of way that was hard to explain. “Do you have a name or should I just continue to think of you as a kid?”
“What? Stars have stories? Oh come on! Name one.” Ophelia said. She knew that stars had legends; of course she wasn’t an idiot. But she had never heard any stories. Besides, she liked the kid’s voice even though she would never admit that to him. She was rather lonely since all she had was herself.

Rhian glanced over at the girl when she finally said her name. For a moment he didn't think he was going to get one. Not that it mattered much to him. He figured that he would never see this chick again. "Ophelia huh? Different." Rhi tilted his head to himself, liking the way the name rolled off the tongue. It was an odd name, the oddest he had ever heard, but he rather liked it. Ophelia stole his attention from the stars once again, causing him to roll his eyes at her comments. "Oh my. I don't know if I should be flattered or worried that your paying so much attention to my body." He did glace down at she spoke though. Did he really that ill or was his shirt really that tight? Maybe he would have to go shopping for some new things soon.
"I'm not homeless. Don't group me with you. I have a nice home on lots of land." Rhian chuckled as he leaned back against the bench. "I happen to share it with a bunch of dead people and tombstones but it's still home." He smiled as he thought about his happy little house. He kind of missed it now. It wasn't often that he wandered away for long periods of time. Things like running into odd people always seemed to happen. "You know, I think you have a mental problem. First your dissing me and saying I'm probably homeless and I'm emo, and then you go off and say I'm kind? I'm sure they have a disorder for that." Rhian hummed in thought for a second before giving up. There was way to many that it could be to mearly pin it down to one disorder, or maybe she had more than one. It was very possible to have them all. He shook his head and glanced over at her once more. "I'm Rhian."
"Of course they have stories! Stories, legends and myths are basically the same thing after all. But all of it is based around mythology." Rhian huffed and scanned the stars for a moment. "There, see the constellation Pegasus over there? Pegasus was a winged horse that came out of Medusa when she was killed by Perseus. After his birth, Pegasus lived on the Mount Helicon. One day, an ancient Greek hero by the name of Bellerophon believed that he could fly with Pegasus to Olympus. To prevent that from happening, Zeus sent a horsefly to bite Pegasus. Bellerophon fell down to Earth and Pegasus continued on to Olympus, where Zeus received him. It's said that since then, he transports thunderbolts for Zeus. And Pegasus' figure was placed in the night sky." Rhian spoke with his hands, his eyes watching the constellation he was telling the story about. "A lot of people know the constellations and know the people behind them. But not a lot of people know why they are there. Another constellation was placed in the sky to remind everyone of a queen's vanity. She claimed she was more beautiful than the sea nymphs and Poseidon sent a monster to destroy her." He scanned the sky, looking for the constellation in question.

“PUH-LEASE!” Ophelia said in some sort of mockish Bevery Hills tone. “It’s not like I said you had a nice, tight ass!” She arched the small of her back and the noise made a little crack / pop. It had been a very long time since she had the time to just sit down and relax. Most of the time she was hanging from the roof by a rock climbing kit she had put together or jumping off of something. Her back loved the support the bench back gave her back. “And I wouldn’t know if you did or didn’t because I haven’t seen your ass!” Ophelia replied, ‘yet’ in her mind.
Ophelia laughed. “I’m not saying you’re kind as in nice. I said Emo/Goth homeless IS your kind. And YOU’RE MEAN.” Ophelia replied laughing with a smile on her face. “You say that I’m bipolar and mentally retarded YET you’re making fun of me. You’re narcissistic for thinking I’m calling you kind. Rhian.” Ophelia said his name once. It sounded odd but it seemed to go just perfect with Rhian. “And your name is just an odd as mine is.” Ophelia listened with interest to Rhian tell a myth about one of the stars. “Do you really believe that happened?” she asked when he was done.

Rhian rolled his eyes. "I don't think I want you looking at my ass. I really don't go for the old ladies so that would just kind of be desturbing to me." He glanced over at Ophelia and grinned. This back and forth bickering and insulting was actually fun, and he was enjoying talking to someone for the first time in a while. Who would have thought that passing insults back and forth would be fun.
"But it ISN'T my kind. That is your kind so don't group me with you. And I never said that you were bipolar and mentally retarded." Rhian leaned back on the bench, turning slightly to face her better. "I said you had mental problems and you just went and labeled them for me. Admitting you have a problem is the first step." He gave a small chuckle and shrugged his shoulders. "Your name is a lot odder. And call me Rhi if it's too weird for ya." He didn't care one way or another. Lots of people found his name hard to say and lots just called him Rhi. "I'm not sure. I don't believe in gods I know that much. But there are so many stars. It would be easy to connect the dots and make a picture with so many of them out there. And for there to be so many consitlations somone out there really believed. I respect that but I personally don't believe it happened."

“What, so you go for the old man with the wrinkly ass and cock that only lifts with Viagra?” Ophelia replied snootily. She pulled her chain wallet on her lap and pulled out a stick of gum. She popped the bubblegum flavor into her mouth and crumpled the wrapper, she tossed it over Rhian’s head and it landed on the ground. Would he say something about littering? Ophelia was a litterer. If there was a garbage can around she would just throw stuff on the ground unless there was a cop around. “Though you’re probably a virgin. At least on one end!”
“Shame that you don’t think the stories are real. We could have shared a room in a mental asylum.” Ophelia joked. She chewed the bubblegum blowing bubbles. It took a lot of talent to actually blow bubbles. “Rhi, you’re giving me a pet name to call you?” Ophelia chewed the gum. “Rhi? I like that, Rhi.” Ophelia played with the name on her tongue. “Rhi, Rhi, Rhi…Rhi, Rhi, Rhi.” She turned the name into a little song. His nickname was pleasant to the tongue.

"Yeah right, lovely picture you just stuck in my head, thanks." Rhian sighed and shook his head. The thought was down right horrid and he didn't want to even imagine it. He saw to many old wrinkly people to be thinking of a picture like that. He eyed the wrapper that had been tossed over his head, wondering why she just didn't put it in her pocket for a later time, but what did Rhian care? There was trash all over the park so what was just one more little shiny wrapper going to do? Though he had to admit that if a cop walked by and gave Ophelia a ticket he would be cracking up over it. "Yeah, I'm a virgin so what? Your probably not anywhere in that area either." He shifted his attention away from the wrapper as his hands pushed into his pockets to warm up. "I'll admit you look really pretty and your red hair is lovely, but once you open your mouth anyone thinking about getting with you is going to be walking the other way."
"Yeah, well I'm sane unlike you so I'm just peachy." Rhian shook his head with a small laugh. He had to admit though, it would be fun to bounce around the padded room with that jacket on. He could imagine the looks he would get now. "Yeah...no. You've over used the name, and it isn't a pet name. It's a nickname. I'm not a dog or something." Rhian sighed and shook his head. It really did make him sound like a dog when she said pet name. "Lets see though. If you call me Rhi too much. I'll start calling you Ope." A grin spread across his face as he thought over it. "Ope, Ope, Ope. Yup. Has a nice ring."

“You’re a virgin?” Ophelia smiled, shocked. The things she could do to a virgin! She chuckled to herself silently. “You know you’re very rude but if you have a big dick I might just forget about it and let you put tape over my mouth!” Ophelia laughed again. She was actually sounding very mental. She had virtually no social skills. She mostly kept to herself and never spoke a single solitary word to anyone. She had no motive to. She was a thief who entered into museums at night. You didn’t exactly chat up the guards on the way out holding something old and expensive looking!
“I don’t mind. I’ve never had a nickname before. Of course I’ve never had a virgin on the park grass either.” Ophelia replied as she bent down and tied her shoe. It certainly would be something she could check off from a list, though no such bucket list existed – Yet. As she tied her boot a small camera popped out of her pocket. The camera was quite small, very miniscule and looked to have cost a fortune. It was about the size of a small finger and cut fit on a penny and have room for three more cameras! “Shit,” Ophelia muttered wondering whether or not it was broken.

Rhian rolled his eyes at her statement. "Oh like it's really a big deal. Yeah I'm a virgin. Nothing big going on there." He leaned back against the bench, wondering why she was making such a big deal about it. There were plenty of virgins all over the place, so it shouldn't be to surpising to run into one. His face grew red at her comments. "Well you won't be finding out and your not going to be having me on the grass either." He shook his head, wondering what the hell was wrong with this women. He wasn't really social a person either but this was insane! Were all people like this? It seemed rather a strange thing if they were.
He sighed, happy when she got distracted with something other than his virginity. He tilted his head, looking at the thing that fell out of her pocket. "What in the world is that? Small little thing huh?" He tilted his head as he eyed the thing.
Note: Sorry it took me so long!

[[That’s okay. I’ve been busy writing for nano.]]
Ophelia laughed as Rhian got quite red. It was hilarious messing around with a virgin. They got so embarrassed over the little things. “The night is young Rhi.” Ophelia said as she chewed the gum. “You never know,” she replied in a normal voice, “you never know” she said in a sing song voice.
“Never you mind about it!” Ophelia huffed. She was fuming mad about her camera. It was so small it could fit on a penny along with three other small cameras. It was that small! And it was probably broken. She would need to purchase another one. She mentally added another day of planning to her schedule. It was good that she had purchased two for that discount. Now she would have to purchase another one.
“Are you sure you won’t think about it?” Ophelia asked as she got up and stretched. “Could be fun.”

Rhian ignored Ophelia, not wanting to be baited into anything he would regreat (probably) later. "Don't get snippy. Your the one that probabaly broke the thing not me." He gave a slight grin. He could tell that whatever she had was high-tech, and probably very broken by now. Really, why in the world did she have something so small in her pocket? He was suprised it didn't break just by her sitting down. Even cell phones would break if you leaned against them and bent the mother board inside. This little thing didn't seem like it would last any better than a cell.
"I'm very sure, thanks. I've thought enough about it." Rhi watched as she stood up, wondering if he was going to be left in peace now or not. Though he would probably be heading back sooner or later. One could only stay out at night for so long after all.
