Isi tapped her feet and made sure that no part of her face was visible. She walked thirty blocks down the street, opened a clutch handbag and purchased a disposable phone in a vending machine outside. Isi paid cash and set up the phone on a part of town she never visited. It was in the lower ends just if the cell tower was found. Isi dialied Linx’s number which she had memorized by heart. “I rented room 563 on the fifth floor. Meet me at 8 PM.” Isi replied. Would Linx bring the girl Calliope? “And make sure you’re not followed.” Isi replied as she then hung up the phone. The whole conversation was less than twenty seconds. There were a lot of hotels with more than three floors so finding the hard rock would be quite hard.
Isi went home and dressed up for the meeting. She wore a black silk chiffon dress with gold buttons. Instead of stockings she wore pants, Helmut skinny pants which were three hundred dollars. The boots she wore were Christian Louboutin Ronfifi a new and up and coming designer. Along with her boots was a lovely trench coat that hid her two guns on either side of her. The trench coat was almost three thousand dollars and looked like a fashion accessory instead of something suspicious. There were black gloves, new to prevent fingerprints from being left behind. But the most important feature Isi wore was the scarf tied around her neck, wrapped about two times as a fashion accessory. Her earrings were real diamonds. All in all her jewelry was worth about fifteen thousand dollars. What was more important about her hair was that she had died it black with a temporary color that would wash out in a few washes.
“I have zee reservation.” Isi said in a German-American accent that she had used for the sole purpose of checking in. “McAlister, Zae.” Isi spoke. She went through the motions and soon received her room key for 563. She checked her time on her watch realizing that it was rather early until their meeting. Hadn’t she said 8 PM? It was about 6-ish. Isi declined the bellboy helping her bring up her lone black luggage which contained large sums of green, green cash. Isi placed the hundred thousand dollars in the safe, tucked the suitcase under the bed and placed ten thousand dollars in her pocket. She had been cooped up in her estate very afraid of the vampire finding her so that she had not left in a week. It had been a very trying time!
Isi walked to the blackjack table after exchanging five thousand dollars, cash for chips. Soon enough she began to win. It wasn’t that hard to get 21. Pit boss’ began to offer her free complimentary drinks which she declined. She also declined a free room and registration to the ‘members club’. She did not want to be remembered. Soon enough Isi was winning big and she realized that no one would like that so she began to lose on purpose. She was seven grand up from the five she was playing with and was trying to lose without it looking so suspicious.

Linx was already at the casino by the time she called. Or more specifically, the bar. He'd had a hell of a week, and today had just topped it off. Sporting several new scars and hidden bandages, he carried the scent of blood and gunpowder on him.
He wore his standard outfit. Black fatigues and boots, matching shirt, jacket and hat. His weapon rig was hidden under his jacket, and his belt sported several new pouches filled with medical supplies that he could use to treat most wounds.
He taps his fingers against the bar for another glass of whiskey, downing it quickly before swaying off across the casino to find Isi. He must've spent four hours drinking, it was eight-ish by his reckoning. He swaggers off with a light smile, humming a tune under his breath, already drawing the eyes of the guards.

Pretty soon Isi began to lose and now only held with her six thousand dollars. She had only made a profit of one thousand dollars. That was acceptable compared to the amount she held earlier. As long as she didn’t win more big money then no one would pay attention to her. There was a high roller at the craps table, people were cheering and watching. Loose women were coming out of the woodworks. Where did all those women come from? They would have made decent spies.
“Linx. I should have known. Just follow the glances the guards are making.” Isi passed by in a low breath. It didn’t look like she had even spoken a single word to him. She almost wanted to shake her head. Did Linx recognize Isi with her black dyed hair? She hoped not. It was now more important than ever to look different. But of course he would know it was her if she had spoken to him. She walked out of the table room and down the aisles of slots.

He continues blithely humming to himself, deftly snatching a drink from a passing tray, spinning around completely and reversing direction fluidly. Doing anything drunk was a fine art that took years of practice. He'd become quite good at it.
He swaggers down the slots, before "accidently" bumping into a guard. "'Scuse me. Which way to room...uh...536?" he slurrs as he sways on his feet. The guard reluctantly points him towards the rooms and he swaggers off once more, hoping Isi overheard his interaction, knowing he was on his way to their meeting, snatching a bottle of whiskey as he went. Whiskey put him in a fighting mood, kept his head running on over drive. Let him be drunk but still functional. And woe unto the poor bastard that crossed him.

Isi overheard Linx pretend to be drunk. Goodness, she hoped that he was pretending. She cut through the slots with her super sized cup full of tokens, worth six thousand dollars to be exact. There was another five thousand dollars in her pocket. She cut her way through the slot aisles and moved towards the elevator. With her gloved hand she pressed the up arrow for the elevator. As soon as Isi got into the elevator she pressed the fifth button for the fifth floor. She retraced her steps earlier and swiped her key on the keyhole. Now she waited for Linx to arrive.
OOC – Sorry it’s short. Just wanted to put something out for today.

((No worries here.))
Linx bobs along, smiling to himself, appearing in every sense a harmless drunk. He grinned hugely as he took a swig of whiskey, noting the guards following him warily, with their eyes mostly, a couple physically followed him at a distance. He bobs in place as he waits for the elevators, before pushing the button for the sixth floor.
He sobered up a bit as the elevator ascended to it's destination. On the sixth floor he ducked out and hit the stairs to double back to the fifth floor. He toddles along humming blithely till he comes to the room.
He stops for a moment, sobering up a bit more, shaking his head to clear it, before knocking on the door to Isi's room. He was mostly sober, mainly just buzzed, having spaced his drinks out enough to maintain it, while seeming to drink enough to black out. God bless a good tolerance, he said silently, before taking another swig off the bottle. Hopefully tonight would be better than the past week had been. Dodging supernatural creatures night and die, tortured, and general fatigue had begun to wear him down. Man, did he have one hell of a report for her.

Isi checked through the peephole to determine who was at the door. When she saw the familiar face and figure of Linx she slid her gun back into its holster on her left hip, removed the chain and pushed aside the chair to open the door. It never hurt to be paranoid. “Get in,” Isi replied in a neutral tone as she let Linx enter the room. As soon as he was in she closed the door shut and replaced the locks. She moved the chair behind the door but did not put it against the handle as she had done earlier. Isi moved and closed the window she had opened. There was a piece of rope attached just in case one couldn’t use the door as an exit. Isi knew that she wouldn’t have to use that rope if Linx wasn’t followed but she liked to take no chances!
“Alright. So tell me, what went on?” Isi asked as she sat on the seat by the desk. Isi pushed off against the desk so that the chair moved backwards a few feet, which she then put her feet on one of the beds. The room had one King sized bed, one desk, one TV on a dresser, two small side dresses on either side of the bed, a matching couch and two cheap totally worthless standard paintings framed hanging on the wall. The coffee pot was turned on making a brew of cheap hotel coffee. Just in case Linx needed to sober up or something. Isi did not enjoy drinking coffee and did not need it to stay up. "Don't worry there are no cameras or recording devices in here. I already checked." Isi replied as she motioned to her suitcase which had a small piece of equipment inside. It was safe to talk and hopefully Linx would trust her. Of course he already did because he was meeting her here.

He arches a brow at her before rolling into his report. "You had a gun out when I knocked, didn't you?" he says with a chuckle and shake of his head. He takes another long draw off the bottle as he moves to the desk, drawing out the chair and turning it with his foot before sinking into it.
He clears his throat, setting the bottle down before locking his eyes onto her. He trusted her word when she said they weren't bugged, she was paranoid enough to be OCD level thorough. He liked that in a woman. "Right, past week's been hell. Been dodging vamps and mutts every day and night. Eventually I decided to stop playing around and ditched em, last night." he says, no hints of smugness or superiority in his voice.
After being tortured, he decided he'd had enough. He was about to go on the offensive, and he was done with kiddie hour. "They caught up with me a few nights ago, held me in an undisclosed location, torture, interrogation, the works. Wanted info on you and Cali. Didn't give em anything, so don't worry. Very inventive they were though." he says, idly placing a hand over his left forearm. He'd been a blood bank of sorts for the vamps, a punching bag for lycans.
He shakes his head again, "Sorry, first night they ran me off from my home, had to dodge em each night till they captured me. Escaped, amatuers that they are, decided to stop humoring them, got blitzed last night, pretended to be a homeless drunk, then slipped in here with the cash you paid me for our first job." he says with a shrug.
He finishes off his bottle before standing and stretching. "0500 hours two days from now, I'm taking the offensive. Found their den after tracking them down when they gave up the search for me. All info I've garnered indicates that they're all relatively young, less than a couple years for the vamps, less than a decade for the mutts, for what that's worth. I have dossiers on all thirteen members at my safe house." he says with another shrug, turning to the window and staring out across the city.

“I always have a gun on me.” Isi replied as Linx smiled. She rolled her eyes but she did it jokingly. When she was sleeping there was a gun under her second pillow, pointed at the wall. When she was in the shower there was a gun on the toilet. When she was eating there was a gun in the kitchen. When she was jogging there was a small gun on her ankle. Isi never, never went anywhere without a gun and if Linx did then he was foolish.
Isi nodded. Linx had had it rough. It was good that he didn’t crack or else Isi and Calliope would probably be in that same undisclosed location. “It’s never good when they work together. I suppose they must be young then.” The older ones would never, never ever think of working alongside the opposite species. Both thought they were too superior. “Do you know if they contacted anyone else?” Isi knew she didn’t have to say that they needed to take out that person and their contact if they told someone else along with the thirteen young ones. Isi really, really hated killing were’s.

"No, I don't think they did. I could be wrong though, I only got to see a couple every now and again, outside of the torture squad of course. If this does go higher, I'll find out." he says in a bored tone. He'd suffered worse actions and better trained opponents than these. The key to victory was to neutralize their impressive abilities afterall.
He shakes his head to clear the thoughts of how best to eliminate them from it and smiles at Isi. "So what now? Create a battle plan? Enjoy the casino?" he queries wondering what she'd brought for him this night. He'd already got her a gift from her last present, no need to make him decide on another one!

“I’ve never had to check phone numbers out but maybe I can find out all the numbers they called or something?” Isi replied. If the Feds and local cops could do it then obviously Isi could do it too! Anything the authorities did, Isi could do better! As could any ‘professional’ thief. Of course anytime a cop caught a thief and said they were professional they were but armature or mediocre! “I wonder if you buy technology or get a job at the phone company for a week?” Isi muttered. Though by Isi mentioning ‘get a job at the phone company’ she meant ‘break into the phone company’ but who knew what hours they worked, and if they were in India?
“Battleplan.” Isi said sounding serious. “Then we hit the casino until they kick us out. Remember to get your money in cash because they won’t send it!” Isi joked. “Okay, how many wolves and how many young vamps?” Isi questioned. It would be easier to take out the young vamps first. You just hit them in their heart with lots of silver. The wolves would be harder, but they should be taken out before they had the chance to change into their form. Then it would be like trying to take out a moving train with toxic chemicals. If they could get some wolves alone it would be easy then taking on all the wolves at once.

He shrugs again, "Doubtful you could trace them. We'd need the location of the safehouse they held me in, cross refference all calls to the local cell tower, then you'd need to know the time they made the call, and that'd give you their number. From their, you'd need to know their provider, access their data mainframe and reveiw the call records from that line to see what number they called. Then, you'd need to basically repeat the process to figure out who's number it is." he says, sighing. They didn't have enough info, this would be a challenge.
He then addresses her question about the group dynamic and possible battle strategies. "Eight vamps, five weres. Led by Special Agent Denton of the FBI. My plan two days hence is an ambush, taking at least one alive to...question. Secluded campsite I'll fix up to my liking, lure em in, wipe em out. Standard guerilla warfare really. They rely on their abilities to win the fight for them, so they don't use their heads, it'll be easy pickings." he says with another grin.
He rises from his seat, stretching and polishing off his bottle of whiskey, before chuckling. "You know, when I was stationed at Nellis, just outside Vegas, no one wanted to go to the casinos with me. Said my eyes were too sharp. Consequently, every casino on the strip's kicked me out at least once on allegations of cheating!" he says with a laugh. He moves to the door, sweeping the hallway clear for Isi's sake of mind before smiling at her again. "If you need me, I'll be cleaning house. I need a new pair of boots anyway, and could use some parts to fix my bike. Oh!" he stops as the thought hits him, turning on her suddenly. "Wait here!" he says before sprinting down the hall.
It took him all of a minute to get to his room, grab the package he had for her, then dash back to her room. He smiles, holding out a heart shaped box of "chocolate" for her. "Open it, got it specially for you." he says with a brilliant smile. Within the box was actually a compact SMG, a P90. It was one of the fastest firing guns out there, with little to no recoil. The barrel had been shortened to make concealing it so much easier. There was an attachable silencer next to it, along with five clips of extra ammo, not counting the one already loaded.

Isi listened to Linx speak. That sounded hard. “Are you sure I can’t just get their number once we find their safe house and see a list of numbers they’ve dialed?” Isi frowned. The way Linx sounded that would take months. Isi didn’t have months. She needed to squish this thing in the butt, fast!
“Sounds good. Easy pickings,” Isi agreed. She watched with surprise as Linx said ‘wait here’ and wondered why. One minute later Linx was back with a box of chocolates. “A box of chocolates? How nice!” Isi laughed as she opened up the box. She was surprised when she opened up the box and instead of chocolates was a metal gun. She picked it up and examined it, a smile on her face. To the side was a silencer and there were five extra clips she observed. Isi unloaded the gun, reloaded it examining it. “I love it. I also got you something, your next pay in advance.” Isi replied as she tossed Linx the six grand. Five was her own and the sixth was the one she had won.
Unfortunately Isi had no room for the gun on her so she tucked it and the ammo in the safe. “Now let’s clean the damn place out!” Isi laughed.

He shrugs again, "Yeah, we could use the number at the safehouse, if we can find it." he says, before frowning in thought. "Hmm. Perhaps I should allow myself to be captured again..." he mumbles. Not a pleasing prospect, but it would solve their problems.
He shrugs as he turns from his musings, smiling brilliantly. "Ah well! A problem for another day! Now, if you need me, I'll be in my room for a little while. Need a shower and change of clothes. Wanna wait for me or find me in the casino?" he says, stepping towards the door, waiting for her response. He was looking forward to a shower, especially a hot one. He felt he earned it afterall, even though he usually took cold showers. Easy on him to not be used to hot water, especially in the field or when captured.

“I don’t think that is necessary.” Isi replied. She wasn’t worried about Linx being captured again. He could handle himself, she knew that now. But she knew they would probably be especially motivated to kill him this time around since they he escaped their last opportunity. “I think it’s better to take them by surprise.” Isi nodded as she looked about her room as if it contained enemies. “I’ll meet you in the casino.” Isi responded. “There is something I need to do first.” Isi muttered as Linx left the room.
When Linx was gone from the room she put the chair behind the door and the latch on the door as well as locking it. Now that was done she opened the safe and took out a medium sized water bottle. She took the bottle into the bathroom with her. Isi opened up the water bottle and took a giant sip of it. She could feel the holy water working its way through her body. Next, Isi removed the scarf and wiped away the makeup on her neck where her neck had been punctured by a vampires two fang marks. Isi dabbed holy water onto her neck. It stung but not as much as it had when she had first been bitten.
All of a sudden the wave of nausea overcame Isi and she ended up puking whatever was in her stomach into the toilet. It was a nasty side effect of being bitten. Thankfully these walls were not as thin as paper. Isi took deep breaths; the holy water wasn’t killing her. It was helping her. But damned if it didn’t hurt! “Fuck you crazy bitch, I’m going to kill you!” Isi whispered as she closed her eyes and relaxed on the bathroom floor for a few minutes. It was perhaps ten or fifteen minutes later that Isi felt well enough to stand. She quickly applied makeup on her neck to cover the marks and then reattached the scarf which hid the bite marks well. They were no visible by the black scarf. “The person who invented the scarf must have been a vampire hunter.” Isi muttered. She put the water bottle back in the safe and grabbed herself fifteen thousand dollars.
