my box o' characters
So yeah! I'm gonna be trying to get back into posting here more often, get excited maybe and start some plots. I have quite a few characters to choose from, all of which I'm going to list below. I don't have any real requirements, except that if you post here don't just say "I'm up for a thread" or "we could do something." I want to know what and who. A few random threads just for the hell of it is fine, but I want to know some real ideas for plots. You don't have to be hella active, but I'd like to post a few times a week at least. Also, actually read the descriptions of all my characters. . . . Or at least go through their bios real quick. All of my ladies here are super fun, I assure you. You can click their images to see their bios.
Anastasia Marisova. Russian. My very first character for this site. I've had her since I started two Decembers ago, so it's running on two years this December. She's the one who's been through the most and had the most character development and she is my favorite. I do not want to kill her unless it will be beneficial to her plot and have some impact on quite a few characters. . . which means no dying until Urjasz decides to come back, if he does. She's a timid were-hyena who has been through a lot of shit and needs something self-destructive. Her luck is horrible and a lot of people she knows has died at some point or another, or just disappeared. Pick on her, befriend her, do what you will. I like to torture her.
Carmen Sykes. Human turned vampire. She's a fun one. . . kind of. She's currently involved with Ryn's vampire Agito (as in. . . yes they love each other. =P) even though they have really odd ways of showing it. She's. . . not a nice person. Socially, she tends to dislike everyone and is not afraid to tell people how it is or what she really thinks of them. In fact, she isn't afraid at all. Of anything. She is literally incapable of fear. It's not as good a thing as you'd think it is, as she always barges in head first with reckless abandon. She's an advanced chess player, though, so all of her actions have meaning. Carmen is quick to anger and tends to swear a lot. Under Agito's tutelage she has become a fighting machine with a sword. Carmen has a sort of adoptive muscle memory, and she can do anything she sees after trying it only once or twice.
Mara Nyx. She's bad news personified and has the ability to cast realistic illusions to befuddle her prey and opponents. I do not overpower this and she is very limited on the extensiveness and duration of the illusions so there's not going to be any "haha tricked you" god moding at the last minute unless I had the whole thing planned out in the beginning and eluded to the fact in my posts beforehand. She's Brazillian and a pure blooded vampire, born into a very rich family. She's vindictive and will hold a grudge forever against you, but it's hard to tell when she's angry because she never lets it show and acts nonchalant about everything. She's good with weapons and is pretty much a bad guy. Mara does, however, tolerate werewolves a lot more than anyone else--especially were creatures. Cats in particular.
Xitlalli (pronounced shitali). Aztec vampire that believes herself to be a goddess, though she's far from it. She has the ability to control water and she is incredibly advanced at it after more than five hundred years of constant practice. Ali, as she prefers to be called now, has not adapted to modern life very well, though she makes it a habit to buy all the new clothes. Technology isn't her thing. Also, she is a robot. She doesn't do anything because she wants to or think it's fun, she does it because she feels she needs to. She holds herself above everyone else, but she doesn't really act like it. Ali isn't snooty or condescending, she's actually a fairly pleasant person to be around and can hold a conversation with about anyone. Be prepared, though. Ali has a habit of playing devil's advocate, so your character's beliefs will be questioned; she's not trying to get any specific reaction nor does she have a purpose for this, she merely does it because she deems it necessary. I would really like to get into a fight with her to test her water abilities more extensively. She hardly ever makes a killing blow, so don't worry about that.
Ketziah. A workaholic angel who's sole mission is to keep demons under control. That's all she cares about and she does her job swiftly and mercilessly. If you get in her way, she will not hesitate to cut you down. She's been around for several millenniums and she has learned just about any form of combat with any form of weapon. Her special weapon is her voice, and she uses it to cut down demons and can control her power--so anything non-demonic might hear soothing song while a demon is writhing in pain, or everyone might suffer at the sound of her voice. She's not much for conversation when she's in work mode, but she does have those off days where she's wandering around looking for something to do.
