It was the year 2012 when the war first began, the exact date being December 21st 2012. The human race believed so strongly that the world would end that, even in the weeks previous, everything had broken into utter chaos. Rules of humanity and government laws were being ignored and there was a loss of all control. Persons of power lost all power and soon the world was in riot.
By the time December 21st came around, bodies littered the streets and buildings were burned to the ground. Some people tried to hide, others stayed close to the family they had left, some prayed in a religious buildings and the rest were killing themselves with poisons before the world burned them. But the day ended, and the world was still there.
The next following days were that of confusion. What would they do? The riots and all the like had caused such madness that the world was in a total standstill. No one stood in a position of power, most presidents and leaders had been killed trying to calm their people. For days, there was nothing, no one left their houses or where ever they had chose to go for safety.
Then suddenly the vampires came out of hiding. There had been so much chaos that the vampires hid from the world, taking with them enough humans to feed them till this point. They had known the world wouldn't end, and this was what they were waiting for; waiting for humanity to be confused.
They automatically took power, their numbers already large and increasing with each hour. Within a day of them taking power, humans were on the run. Vampires were taking them in as slaves or selling them to humans who chose to summit to them.
By the time 2013 came to be, the number of vampires there had been was tripled, 1/4 of the worlds human population was held as slaves, another half were mastering over the enslaved humans, and the rest were in hiding from the vampires, dead, or hunting the vampires.
Then out came the lycans. At first they stayed hidden, taking any humans they found and protecting them silently. But with the increasing number of vampires, those humans were soon being turned. As soon as their numbers almost doubled, they came out to fight against the vampires.
But that was 15 years ago. It is now the year 2028. Vampires have half of the worlds control while the lycans have the other half. The number of humans has dropped increasingly, though is slowly raising because of the vampires forcing them to reproduce. Out of the humans 2/4's of them are held as slaves, 1/4 as masters, and 1/4 still on the run and in hiding.
The capitol of the new world is New York City. Vampires have control over the whole city while the lycans control the areas surrounding it. Slavery is what makes NYC the richest and most powerful place in the world. No human is safe to walk the streets of NYC unless branded as property. There are still free humans who hide from the vampires and make their escape during the day, but that number is low.
Everyday the lycans try to break the numbers of vampires in NYC with the help of hunters who are willing to look past their supernatural nature.
So who are you in this world? Are you in control, do you have power as a vampire? Are you a piece of property, branded for life? Do you own another human being? Are you trying to take control from the vampires? Are you forever on the run, fear rushing through your veins everyday? Or are you one of the few who are hunting the damned, hoping for the world that once was?
