Summary:
Abunai was always a fast kid, had joined his High School's track team as a sprinter when he was still enrolled. When he joined the undead he found that he was quick even amongst his own kind. Whether this is because of his track record from his human life or was just pure luck is unknown, but it surely is wonderful. The reason for this is because the male tends to run from his own kind if they ever attempt to attack him, Nicholai being to young to hold his own in a physical match against older Vampires.

The male had in his life, and still retains, a photographic memory. If he sees something chances are he will remember it's exact placement, the exact day he saw it. If there was a shadow cast along it, he would know, and if there was a subtle wind blowing by when he viewed said item he would be able to recall it. This causes him problems at times, small things can send him into a full blown flashback of something seeming random, but he still enjoys his little ability. It allows him to remember cheat codes and high scores with no effort, and made it so that he can spit-fire the entire history of every X-Men in the blink of an eye.

Lastly, Nicholai actually gains strength according to who he feeds from. While his main diet consists of humans, whether he is conscious of his food choice or not, he has been known to bite into a Vampire and were-creature at particular moments. He goes on a high when he feeds from other supernatural beings, all of his senses heightening quite a bit from the act. His high will only last about ten minutes, but after his drug-like state dies down his natural strength and speed tends to be grander according to how powerful of a being he drained. This quite rarely happens, of course, since he is not exactly the hunting type, but when his bloodlust reaches an extreme he pays little mind to what he bites. If he had a supernatural fount to drink from, a willing one of course, than he could surely end up having quite a bit of fun.

Summary:
All of Nicholai's weaknesses revolve around his young age, and there is little he can do about them until he grows older. The first is that, once his body informs him it wants blood, he loses all control of himself. The once happy go lucky male disappears, leaving nothing but a rabid animal. He will do whatever it takes to get fed, will even tear into someone he considers a friend or lover. It no longer matters if someone near him is human, is young or old, or even if they are someone who trusts him dearly. Once he is fed he tends to feel horrible for what he does, Abunai has lost countless friends because they wished to stay near him at a bad time.

His second weakness correlates with the first, if a single drop of fresh blood is absorbed by any one of his senses he will go into an uncontrollable blood lust. He will begin trying to feed from everyone around him, not stopping until one of three things occur. The simplest, and most standard way, is for him to merely kill everyone near him. Sure, it is harsh, and makes it so that there is a lot for him to clean up, but it is fairly simple. Another is for him to actually get full, but there iss a major issue with this. Abunai is young, the youngest Vampire he has met, and thus it takes a lot for him to actually feel full. A half dozen people might not be enough on a particular night, especially if those around him are of a smaller size. The final option can usually only be obtained by a hunter or another member of the supernatural world, and that is to knock him unconscious. One can not attack when they are not amongst the waking world, or in the very least he can not. So if someone has the ability to take him good and out, his blood lust will end automatically. Sure, if when he wakes up there is blood near he will merely go back into his rage filled persona, but to fix this someone merely needs to drag him to a safe environment.

Finally, he is extremely young for being a member of the undead, and because of this he feels the effects of standard Vampire weaknesses more than most. Just a pinch of sunlight could turn a limb into a shriveled mess, a touch of silver will cause horrible pain. He is still afraid of going into a church, not wishing to chance going in and erupting into a gigantic mess of flames. He has yet to actually befriend one of his own kind, most wish to cause him immeasurable pain because of his nerdy personality and young age, so he does not know for sure what is true and what is just myth.

Skin Tone: Oddly enough, lightly tanned. He was naturally tanned in his human life, and since he is keeping himself well fed it is taking a while for him to become pale.

Summary:
Nicholai looks like the average teenager, there is little about him that would ever make someone think him to be anything else. Sure, he has purple hair and blood red eyes, but at this point hair dye and contacts do exist. His skin tone is still natural, not the freakish pale tone which many Vampires tend to inherit..Heck, he even walks around in clothes which a normal teenage male would go and wear. He truly does all he can to look like a human, wishing to stay as integrated with their society as he possible can. Plus the fact that he was created merely ten years ago in comparison to the hundreds which seem to be standard, means that in his time period people dressed almost the same as those in the 21st century.

Summary:
Nicholai owns a comic book and video game store for a reason, and it is not because he feels it is a wonderful way to make money. He lives the life of a nerd, finding himself completely engulfed in games and comics quite a few nights every week. This is why he created his store, in order to be as much of a geek as is possible while still being around others. It was a common misconception that all geeks hated being around people, Abunai actually loved it quite a bit. Sure, if he ever got hungry while in his store one night he would most likely end up tearing into a few of his patrons...But risks have to be taken for someone to obtain true happiness.

With the good, must come the bad. The male hates it when there is nothing but silence, carrying an IPod on him at all times to make sure there is always something there to produce noise. Yet just because he likes loud sounds does not mean he enjoys everything being overly powerful, he actually hates bright lights and will take unnecessary detours in order to avoid them. His store is never to bright, there being enough light for people to see what they are buying and to read the covers but there not being a single ray of light to share. Oh, and he bit into someone once that had a viral infection...He swore to God it was the most disgusting thing he had ever done. If someone's blood is infected in any way, whether it be that they have AIDs or they just had to much to drink, he will not be able to drink from them for longer than a second. The taste is just to horrible, he will gag and almost throw up blood.

Even though he is immortal, Abunai has the same basic flaws that many young people do. If he has an urge he will find it hard to ignore, whether it be spending to much money on something just because he believes it to be cool or a slight crush he might have on some female. The young Vampire also has a tendency to ramble when he gets excited, such as if someone asks him about how to beat a particular boss in a game or if someone mentions the latest events in the Marvel universe. Oh, and he has a very obvious tell as well. If the male is ever extremely nervous he will begin to laugh uncontrollably, it being his natural defense to things. He was turned in his teenage years and has yet to grow out of them, it is that simple.

Childhood: Childhood was just a few years back for Nicholai, so of course he remembers it. His time as an only child was filled with hanging out with friends, doing stupid things like roller blading up a ramp and to pull off a trick, and school. Luckily for him he was not the stereotypical nerd, he was fairly good looking for someone who could tell you who each of the original Avengers were and tended to make friends pretty easily. Only thing was he moved quite a bit as a kid, moving from San Francisco, to Puerto Rico, to New Orleans, and then to New York.
Transformation: Coming back from an anime convention ten years back, Nicholai was flirting with a female that was dressed up like Morrigan from Darkstalkers. They had gotten back to the hotel together and she had gone to his room so that they could speak further. Next thing he knew she was on top of him, a horrible pain shooting through his neck. He black out after that, just to wake up the next night with the woman gone and a note sitting in his lap.
Prey: When he is hungry, Nicholai will eat from anyone. If he is eating of his own accord he will usually find some random female, throw up a set of illusions, and then drain them enough to keep himself happy. He tries not to kill when he feeds.
Fang Power: If Abunai bites someone they will feel an eruption of pleasure course through their body, this being caused by a poison which comes from his fangs. The pleasure will last for as long as he drinks from the person.
Other Transformation: One must drink from Nicholai as he is drinking from them. If this is done it will take only a few minutes for the human to turn into a Vampire...Or so he guesses, hasn't exactly tried it yet.
History:
Nicholai was born to two amazing parents, parents which divorced soon after his birth, but still quite amazing. They did all which was possible to try and make him happy, spoiling their only child to extremes. If he wanted a new game he would get it, the games back then being on the Atari and original Nintendo but still being exceedingly entertaining. His parents did their best to never fight with each other infront of him, even though they were not exactly the best of friends after their divorce.

His father was forced to go overseas by the military for a short amount of time when he was still in the single digits and this was when he found himself moved down to Puerto Rico with his mother. She had family there and wanted him to see how life was in the Caribbean, hoping it might get him out of the house more often. It partially worked, the boy now sitting outside to read his comics instead of in his room. He made friends which were just as nerdy as him, and thus life was fairly entertaining.

Yet his peaceful childhood doesn't truly matter, it rarely did for a member of the walking dead. In the end he found himself in New Orleans with both of his parents, them still being divorced but feeling it would be best if he still had contact with the two of them. He lived a normal life there, went to high school during the day where he was president of the Video Game Club and hung out with his friends at night. So it wasn't really that odd that odd when he jumped on a plane in order to go to a giant anime convention for the weekend, his parents just asking that he called them once he got there.

The convention was extremely fun, Nicholai was dressed like Link from The Legend of Zelda and quite a few others were cosplaying as their favorite video game or anime characters as well. He did not exactly win any competitions, he had dyed his hair purple a week earlier and had not been able to get it out in time, but the spirit of the event was truly all that mattered...Well, that and a certain female which had caught his fancy one night as the convention closed until the next day.

She was dressed as Morrigan from the Darkstalkers franchise and had actually been the one to walk over to him. She was extremely beautiful, plus she looked to be a good five years or so older than him, and thus he found it hard to ignore her. The two talked for quite a while, even walking together back to the hotel where the two of them were staying. When it came time for them to part to their own individual rooms he felt an extreme urge to ask her to come in to his so that they could talk further, and she did not voice a disagreement to his plea.

At first they just sat around and talked, he had offered to get her something to drink from the fridge in his room but she had said she didn't want anything. Yet after an hour or so of just talking things started to heat up, the female quickly made her move and before Nicholai knew it the two of them were rolling around on his bed. He was so excited, he was a teenager and thus his hormones were off the charts, but before he could ever have his true fun he felt a powerful pain stem from the side of his neck. He tried to push her off of him, having realized she was biting him, but his strength was absolutely nothing compared to her own.

When he awoke the next day he found his hotel room to be a far different place. The light which was on above his head was by far to bright, he could somehow hear someone watching television a few floors below him, yet none of that was what caught his attention. He was thirsty, more so than he had ever been before. He felt as if he had been drained completely of all liquid, and for some reason the only thing which went through his mind was an extreme want for blood. He was not scared of what he wanted, and to be truthful he wasn't exactly himself at the time to begin with.

A long story cut short, Abunai had found someone walking down the hall to feed on and had then returned to his room. When he did so he saw that there was a note sitting on top of the television and he quickly ran over to read it, knowing good and well that it had not been there before. The note informed him of what he had become, of what had been done to him, and what he would need to do in order to survive. There was no signature at the end of it, no way to find whomever it was that had written it. He had been left orphaned at the convention with extremely simple instructions informing him what he would need to do in order to make it to the next day.

It took a good few years for the male to be able to integrate back into society, but in the end he found a way to control himself well enough to be safe amongst humans once again. He opened up a shop in the middle of New York, using some of the money he had taken from those he had killed, and has lived in the city ever since. He has yet to even try contacting his parents, feeling as if it would be better if they thought he was dead than to chance harming them in an accidental twinge of hunger.

The next thing you need to do is make your CLAIMS! We have a member directory to know who the hell people with the multiple accounts are. We also encourage you to claim a celebrity or model or etc ... Do not be discouraged if someone has taken your claim. Find out if someone has been active within the last 30 days and then PM an admin to see if you can take their claim. If you have a werewolf or were something then you might want to claim a pack.

And if you are ever thinking about a new character then why not think about creating a canon?

Get yourself well acquainted with the character board. It has many sub-boards such as: open threads, plot bunnies, social networking, relationship charts and links links links. If you need a signature or icon / avatar then please go to the graphic arena and fill out a new thread. A lot of staff and members love having an excuse to open up photoshop. = ]
