Amethyst could see this as something that could turn ugly, but when Matthew told her to leave, she stood where she was. She didn't want anything to happen to Matthew. At least not have this woman hurt him. She stood back for a while to watch what happened, but she couldn't see anymore as she saw the woman melt a glass she was holding. Taking her leave she walked through the crowd and found an area where the two could sit away from the crowd. She didn't know what else to do, but her only concern was that Matthew was alright.

Matthew stood still, not flinching at all, when the demon disappeared from in front of him. The vampire then sensed the being appear again right behind him. That was another reason for why he hated demons; people always assumed that they were fast, but they actually teleported. It was hard to escape them because of that fact. This demon could literally follow him half way across the world and not even break a sweat. Demons were just annoying like that. You could out smart them and mutilate them past the point of recognition; but they just won’t die.
As the demon spoke, the vampire stood silent. He tried to hide his anger and his distaste for the being; but it was hard to do. The demon wanted him to apologize, and that was something that he was not willing to do. This being was the one that had been rude; it had interrupted the vampire’s conversation with Amethyst. If anyone should apologize, it was the demon. Matthew was the type of being that went out of his way to not be rude to others. The vampire didn’t like drawing attention to himself. The one thing he hated was when others decided to be rude for no reason at all.
The vampire sighed slightly and looked away from the demon, looking to see where Amethyst had gone. When he saw her, he looked back over to the demon. The younger of the two beings didn’t want to apologize, but he also didn’t want any more trouble then what he already had on his plate. Matthew had to worry about making sure that the young vampire he was with didn’t end up dead; he also had to worry about protecting himself. He wouldn’t be able to do these things if he had to fight this demon tonight. The vampire swallowed his pride, and spoke,“Look, I don’t think I should apologize; but I will because I don’t want any trouble with you this night. So, I am sorry for doing whatever it is that offended you.”
At this point the vampire began to walk away; but he stopped after a few steps and turned around. He looked back at the demon and slightly bowed, not moving more then a couple of inches forward. The being then stood up straight, and spoke,“Now, if you’ll please excuse me, I have matters to attend to.”

it's a thief in the night to come a grab you, it can creep up inside you and consume you
AIN'T GONNA PLAY NICE better think twice; your train of thought will be altered, so if you must falter be wise • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •“Rude” seemed to be the word of the night. Pandora was aware that interrupting the two vampires’ conversations had been “rude” but as she had pointed out to the blonde woman earlier, she just didn’t care. Pandora really did believe that she could do what she wanted when she wanted and no one could say shit about it. Mostly because she could be terrifying when she really tried to. Such was the life as a demon. Tilting her head to the side, Pandora waited semi-patiently for Matthew to respond to her little barter. All he had to do was apologize to her and she wouldn’t hurt him that night! Of course. . . the night technically ended at midnight. Just because it was dark out didn’t mean it was night. Once midnight hit, it turned to AM, and that was the morning. If she still felt like hurting him, she could without going back on her promise. Was he too smart for that?
“Look, I don’t think I should apologize; but I will because I don’t want any trouble with you this night. So, I am sorry for doing whatever it is that offended you.”
Had Pandora felt like it, she would have smiled. But no, the same stoic expression remained on her face and she gave her head only the slightest of nods to acknowledge that his apologize had been heard and—begrudgingly—accepted. The way in which he phrased his apology was obviously only to keep face, but the fact that he did say sorry at all was more than what Pandora had expected. Oh well. At least he’d said it at all. Pandora watched him as he started to walk off, a thin frown beginning to appear on her face, but he seemed to think twice about this and stopped, turned, and gave her a slight bow. Pandora gave a light harrumph of content and shifted her weight from one foot to another. So it seemed the vampire had learned something from this after all.
“Now, if you’ll please excuse me, I have matters to attend to.”
Without another word, Pandora watched him take his leave, walking over to that little blond girl, Amethyst. Maybe she would just make things harder for them and pop in during midnight every once in a while just to distract Matthew. She had ever said anything about making it easier for other people to harm him. Or Amethyst. In fact, she hadn’t said anything about her harming the girl, either. Perhaps that would be her next lesson she would teach him; there was always someone stronger and you couldn’t always protect those you care for. Pandora probably wouldn’t kill the girl, but maiming her a little bit would be fun. Much more of a lesson, too. Of course, between now and then, the demon might find something even more entertaining to do than pick on a couple of vampires. Disappearing from where she stood, she reappeared milliseconds later standing at the refreshments table, picking up another glass of wine.

"Why am I here again?" Calliope whined as she played with her hands. She had just arrived at this Masquerade Party as everyone had been invited. And it was her job as a hunter to investigate to make sure no civilians got hurt. She wore this long flowing blue dress with these beautiful designs all along the dress. It was similar to a Cinderella dress and it showed exactly how breathtaking Calli could be. "Damn being a hunter" she muttered as she glanced down at the object in her hands. It was a blue mask that held jewels and rhinestones all along the mask. She took a deep breath, placed it over her eyes and waltzed into the building. She arrived at the top of the stairs and glanced down. No one seemed to have noticed her as of yet and she thanked this moment of stealth. For all she knew she was walking into a room full of vampires; but she pushed these thoughts from her mind. She was escorted down the stairs by some random guy as all of a sudden all eyes went to her. She played the part and looked as regal as she could. So as to seem mysterious and seem like she belonged here.
