When I am seen. I am feared. _______________________ Her first kind words. At least that was how he was going to take it. It was the closest thing to kindness she had shown. Moving his hands from his eyes, he allowed them to burn slightly, his eyes beginning to water. Although it helped, it was a matter of pride not to be seen as if he was crying. Even though he had just survived a collapsed building, he was too proud to look like a victim. Especially after emerging from a battle with such a foe. To be spoken to like a normal person after simply made him feel like he was fighting the right way. Inside his insides were already beginning to mend despite a lack of fresh food. He would need to feed soon. Human food would do the trick no doubt. She began to speak like before once more and he felt like he had simply gone around in a circle. Without so much as a goodbye, she simply disappeared down the alley, leaving him to recover. It had been an odd trade. He pulls her from a collapsing building, she doesn't eat him. But if that worked, he was happy with it. And the added fact that if she changed her mind she wouldn't be around long. As he gathered himself up, he noticed a woman walking back towards him. It immediately became apparent that it was her. "I would not be too surprised to come across you once more. I very rarely have one off encounters. However, we both know that I will very rarely, if ever again, see that human face of yours. It's a shame to hide such a lovely face. But you don't have to take my word for it." Turning away, she spoke once more and he had one request. "Just one thing. What's your real name?"

SOPHIA CORA HUNT → THE MOON IS AWAKE, THE MOON IS MY TEACHER AND I AM HER STUDENTNOCTURNAL CREATURES ARE NOT SO PRUDENT THERE'S A SHE WOLF IN THE CLOSET ← “I would not be too surprised to come across you once more. I very rarely have one off encounters. However, we both know that I will very rarely, if ever again, see that human face of yours. It's a shame to hide such a lovely face. But you don't have to take my word for it,” he commented in rather bad taste. She looked over at him and rolled her eyes slightly with a huff. “Don’t worry. I won’t,” she replied blithely. Her tone was less sharp than it had been at the beginning of their meeting. However, she was still just as bitter. Just not as obvious about it. She turned to continue to leave, but she could still hear his next question. . . her real name. Sophia stopped for a moment and looked back at him, then huffed. “I have already decided not to kill you. Would you truly expect more favors from me?” she replied dubiously, shaking her head and turning again to walk off. She seriously hoped that he wasn’t going to follow her as she turned around the corner, walking along the street and acting as if a building hadn’t almost just squished her. She didn’t have anywhere in particular to go, but she was hungry again. Having that much damage done to her would do that. She figured that human food would suffice, but it was harder to steal food than it was to just hunt down someone nobody would miss in three years.

When I am seen. I am feared. _______________________ Unsurprisingly, she opted for not telling him her true name. "Generally speaking most people don't include telling people their real names as a favour. I'm just saying" he replied, making a funny accent for the final sentence and doing some heavy hand gestures in the form of an over the top shrug. It was his way of trying to lighten the tone between them as she seemed to lack any kind of ability to have fun. However, before he really got a chance to have a reaction, she began to leave again, yet again without so much as a goodbye. Figuring it was a bad idea, he decided to follow her. Yes, bad = fun. Picking himself up and brushing himself down, he allowed her to get ahead slightly. Jogging to catch up, he slowed by her side, but just back enough to avoid any swings at him. "We're both hungry. Grab a meal? If you promise not to eat me I won't pester you about your life style. Deal?"

When I am seen. I am feared. _______________________ There was a long pause as she clearly thought it over. The way she had been before the fight it would not surprise him if she was to turn on him once more. However, she had greeted him with a human face, something he had not expected her to do. In the future he would have a face to look out for and she would know this. That alone was a true thank you. After what felt like a very long hesitation, she accepted his offer. It would only be fair if he paid after asking her to join. This would now give him a chance to prove that some social company is a good thing without having to force it down her throat. Looking around the alleyway, he established where he was and with a quick "ah" he pointed in a direction and motioned for her to follow him. There was a few cafes in the area, although he would need to ask what she liked. With that in mind, he got the basic needs out the way first. "So what food do you like? There's steakhouses to our left, Chinese to the right and Italian if we follow the road straight ahead. Smell that air. Don't you just love the smell? I love how it mixes and you get small doses of different flavours." Speaking with quite a lot of enthusiasm, he was caught up in the moment of knowing the area well. For someone who came from another country, it was always a feel good moment when you could direct someone successfully. Clicking his arm, he put any loose bones back in place and went to take out his medical kit but remembered he'd thrown it at her during the fight. "Hmm damn, no quick fix. Ah well, food will soon sort that. So anyway, I don't think I asked before. Where about do you come from? Been any where nice? Moscow is always an adventure. The forests of eastern Europe is a blast. You'd like it for your wolf. Miles to run and locals are shit scared. Less likely to pop into someone hunting you. However, if that's the kind of thing you like, should try Yellowstone here in America, hunters seem to think we all meet up in that place. More hunters than immortals there. Hard to tell who hunts who really."

SOPHIA CORA HUNT → THE MOON IS AWAKE, THE MOON IS MY TEACHER AND I AM HER STUDENTNOCTURNAL CREATURES ARE NOT SO PRUDENT THERE'S A SHE WOLF IN THE CLOSET ← “So what food do you like? There's steakhouses to our left, Chinese to the right and Italian if we follow the road straight ahead. Smell that air. Don't you just love the smell? I love how it mixes and you get small doses of different flavors,” the man said conversationally. He was a little too chipper for her liking and she turned toward him, her lips pressed to a thin, annoyed line and her eyebrows furrowed. What did he want? Just someone to talk to? Why her? She wanted nothing to do with him. She might have been going to get food with him—which she hoped he was going to pay for or else he was going to have to deal with another confrontation when Sophia just got up and left without paying—but that didn’t mean she liked him or was going to be nice to him. He was simply a means to an end right then. Rolling her eyes, she turned her head away from him and shoved a man away who nearly ran into her. “Steak will do,” she replied. Urjasz could expect similar replied the rest of the night.
There seemed to be a problem with the wolf, and he went on about some sort of fix. She didn’t know what the hell that meant, but she merely made a noncommittal grunt in response. “So anyway, I don't think I asked before. Hard to tell who hunts who really,” he continued. Well, at least he’d be doing enough talking to the both of them. He probably liked hearing the sound of his own voice. The elder werewolf gave the man a sideways glance—still looking irritated—and rolled her shoulders. “I am from France. I have traveled all of Europe and parts of Asia. I prefer less crowded areas and I do not search out hunters. They search me out. I merely wish to be left alone. I am not supposed to be here in New York.”

When I am seen. I am feared. _______________________ She told him rather bluntly which she preferred and it made sense given the choices. He expected to have such a tension between them from here onwards. Not everyone could fight a battle and still respect the other person after. Well, at least give them respect. Taking a sharp turn left, a few steps later and they were on the side of the road. Pointing to the right, he pointed out the steakhouse across the road and he began to cross the road. It seemed he did most of the speaking but it didn't take long for him to realise that this was actually the case. As he crossed over to the other side of the street, there was a yell and a man turned on his heel. Urjasz smiled with frustration. It was a man who owed him money. He'd sort it out later. Looking at Sophia, he chuckled. "If only he saw you ten minutes ago, he'd have a fucking heart attack."She gave him the basics to his questions, although she gave him a new question to ask, even if she had not intended, which was rather likely. "French eh? Not sure how Poland thinks of France. So that'd make you one of those fancy dressed type birds of the past. Why can't I picture that?" he mused, trying to make light conversation. "Who knows, you could of been in my town at some point. Don't worry, you definitely didn't turn me, that poor sod died soon after. So here's the obvious question; you hate crowded places yet you're here in New York and you claim that you're not meant to be. Enlighten me, how did you come to be here? I imagine it wasn't because of someone you know...because of the whole, not liking people and crowded places thing."

SOPHIA CORA HUNT → THE MOON IS AWAKE, THE MOON IS MY TEACHER AND I AM HER STUDENTNOCTURNAL CREATURES ARE NOT SO PRUDENT THERE'S A SHE WOLF IN THE CLOSET ← Someone was yelling. Sophia turned her head to look over her shoulder and her lips pressed into a thin line with irritation, but they were swept up in the crowd and Sophia snorted. “If only he saw you ten minutes ago, he'd have a fucking heart attack,” Urjasz mused, the way he said it making Sophia believe that he had perhaps known the person. She huffed slightly and rolled her shoulders. “Most who don’t know of us do. It is not my fault I am large. It’s simply a perk,” she replied shortly. She was slowly coming to terms with the fact that this wolf was not planning on leaving her any time soon—for god knows what reason. Could have been because he didn’t want her running around killing more people and totaling more buildings, or because he thought he could change her or something—so she decided that her whole night could be spent angry and trying to get him to go away—which was normally the case anyway—or she could placate the bastard and get him to get bored with her and leave on his own. The manner in which he left—on his feet, in a car, of his own accord, in a body bag—didn’t matter much to the she-wolf so long as she was left alone by the time she had finished her meal.
They reached the building that Urjasz had pointed out before crossing the street and Sophia waited for him to enter first, giving him a look that said “cut the chivalry and get in the damn building.” Of course, he had more to say. Sophia would have been surprised if he hadn’t. “French eh? Not sure how Poland thinks of France. So that'd make you one of those fancy dressed type birds of the past. Why can't I picture that?” he asked. Sophia narrowed her eyes and glared at him. “Because that wasn’t the case,” she retorted icily, hinting that there were some skeletons in that closet she didn’t particularly wish to dig up. That was the last thing she needed. . . revealing her dirty laundry to this man. He went on an on as usual and Sophia half-listened to him, waiting for this hostess woman to take them to their seat. She could smell the food in this place and it was making her mouth water. A hot meal. . . that was something she hadn’t had since. . . ever. When the pause came that announced her turn to speak, she turned her head slightly to look at him through the corner of her eye. “I was on a boat. It took me to America. We docked in New York. I didn’t know what to expect, and I found this place. There are only humans here to eat. . . I prefer herd animals. They are bigger and meatier and fill me quicker,” she replied.
