Somewhere, elsewhere deep in his mind Hiro always secretly knew that vampires NEEDED blood to survive but he barely ever wanted to admit being one. Without blood, or an improper substitute for the time being, creatures of the night would slowly lose their mind and be overtaken by an almost unstoppable, unquenchable thirst for blood. Their bodies deteriorate and wont heal properly without it. But Hiro always hoped by desperately trying to get used to exposure to sunlight, it would suppress his vampirism. He wouldn't admit it was killing him. Genetics made sunlight harmful to his kind. Nothing he did could change that. But Hiro cared about nothing at the moment. All that mattered was how wonderful his Era made him feel, and every time he opened his eyes he would look up and see a look of pure, absolute pleasure when Era rode him as her hair flew about.

Era moaned a little louder as Hiro pulled her down onto his member more, pleasure was coarsing through her body making her back arch slightly pressing her breasts more into his hands. Just then a sharp pain shot through his chest, but Hiro just bit down on his lip hard and ignored it the best he could. For a moment he lost his breath and no matter how much he tried it didn't seem he could draw air. His body cringed and pushed into Era hard, lifting her off the bed a bit. Finally, Hiro calmed down and for a few minutes just let Era ride him because he couldn't move. His body hurt so badly but he wouldn't give up. Making love to Era was the greatest thing to him.

"I love...you...too...Hiro" Era gasped out before before her back arched slightly as pleasure screamed through her body before she reached her climax, her breath coming out short and sharp as she bit her bottom lip trying to catch her bottom lip she knew Hiro needed to get some rest as her mind unclouded from the pleasure. Era's heart was pounding painfully against her ribs as if she had just run a race, but she knew it was her body trying to kick start itself.

Leaning down Era kissed Hiro gently, "I love you" she said softly still trying to catch her. Her body shivered slightly as pleasure still ran through her body.

But right now, he couldn't move.

Giving a moan as Hiro relased inside of her, laying against him Era gasped softly as he started moving in and out of her again. Holding onto him she bit her bottom lip again "Hiro...you don't have to..." she moaned softly before she pressed her forehead agianst his neck gently but didn't make an attempt to get away from him, she was still trying to get her breath back.

Kissing his neck gently she placed her hands on his chest comfortably, moaning softly into his neck she moved slightly with him. Era didn't want Hiro to hurt himself by pleasing her, she wanted him to be happy.

Holding her close to his chest, Hiro's body kept moving to make love with her, pushing in and out no matter how much it hurt to move at all. She had told him it was alright and that he didn't have to, but the vampire was still desperate to get his mind off the pain and the lust for her blood that was coming and going randomly. It made him feel horrible. Like he could involuntarily hurt her at any given moment, making him feel on edge always. But for once he could do his best to control it so long as he kept in the sunlight and had pain to think about instead of his thirst.

Hiro slowed down and eventually slid out of her, holding the girl close to his body that was burning up inside. To say he had something of a fever was an understatement. Any human would have died from his temperature and he felt damn near ready to. But no matter what, Hiro didn't mention it. All he could think about was his Era and concentrating on her made him not have to think about things.

"You know.... Era... darling... I had a dream... last night." Hiro forced himself to talk, wanting to make her happy. "You... you were a mommy..."

As Hiro pulled out of her, Era watched him. He didn't look very good and that worried her a lot, listening to him she smiled softly "Is that so?" she asked softly. Kissing him gently Era smiled again "Get some sleep Hiro" she whispered to him as she gently placed a hand on his cheek. Moving so she was lieing at his side she placed her head on his chest, she wanted him to try and get some sleep because she knew he was hurting even if he didnt want to admit it.

"I had a dream last night Hiro...we had a little girl" Era whispered to him and nuzzeled his neck lightly as she placed an arm on his chest, and relaxed against him comfortably. After a moment Era hummed softly a tune she had learnt when she was a child but could not remeber the words to the song her nanny had taught her once.

As Era began humming him a light tune, Hiro almost knew the song but just couldn't place it. It rather annoyed him. Thinking long and hard, all the while trying to keep breathing, it finally came to him. It was the tune he had once heard Era humming at her window back in london, a song he had since had stuck in the back of his mind for years. He had even sung it to Seras a few times to get her calmed down. Somehow, Hiro loved her so very much more right then.

His eyes closing slowly, Hiro bit down on his lip again because he didnt want to fall asleep but after Era had told him too his body didn't want to disagree anymore. It was killing him to stay away any longer and finally he drifted off into a deep, horrible slumber.

The vampire walked along a dark hallway, unsure of where he was. He kept one hand on the wall, one he couldn't see, and the floor beneath him felt solid enough but everything was pitch black. But soon, his footsteps sounded wet. Was there something on the ground? Hiro couldn't see anything but immediately the air smelled of blood and he knew exactly what kind of a puddle he had stepped in. It only got worse, soon, the entire floor was flooded in pools of blood and it made him run until he tripped over something. Turning reluctantly to look, Era's lifeless body was staring right at him, covered in blood. The blood was draining out of two holes on her neck, bite marks. Hiro got up and tried to get away, but suddenly he felt a pair of arms wrap around his waist. There was a little girl crying. "Daddy, what did you do to mommy? How could you?"

It had only been a few minutes later when Hiro immediately threw his eyes open and was out of breath. His weak heart was racing in his chest about to explode. There were tears pouring out of his eyes and he forced himself to roll onto his side and hold Era close. "Im so sorry... I ought to be outside once more..." He whispered to her painfully, wanting to go out into the sunlight.

Opening her eyes as Hiro rolled onto his side and held her to him Era sighed softly, reaching up she gently wiped his tears away from his face. Seeing him so upset made her wish she hadn't told him to go to sleep, kissing his cheek gently she sighed again "It's ok Hiro, it was only a dream" she cooed softly to him like a mother would to a child to sooth them from any nightmare they may have suffered. Placing her hands against his chest Era listened to him talk about how he ought to go out into the sun again, this made her frown and look at him with a raised eyebrow.

"Hiro going out into the sun wont solve a thing...I want you to stay here and rest...that doesn't mean you have to go back to sleep...I just want you to rest...please Hiro? Your hurting yourself" Era said to him in a pleading manner, though her words had started off in a scolding manner. Just the sugestion of him going into the sun made her frown.

"I love you so much..." Hiro whispered in his last breaths as he laid onto his back again and brought Era atop him, her head against his chest. "Im so sorry Miss Era... I don't know what to do... I hurt you when I'm awake, I kill you in my dreams..." There were tears already in his eyes just at the mention of her being hurt. But this was the first time ever that he had voluntarily cried and spoken his heart out to her. He looked her in the eyes and smiled. It didn't bother him anymore to be in such pain. The moment he saw how his Era looked better and a bit happier after making love, it made him feel that much better. His body was weak and slowly dying but it was as if he completely didn't have any care in the world for the pain he was in. "Let's get you some clothes, bbydoll." Hiro told her, forcing himself to sit up and as he did so he held his head in pain, but he was smiling still for her. Hiro slowly got out of bed, standing on shaky knees for a moment and going into the closet. No matter what, his care for her was endearing.

Reaching out to him slightly as he held head she watched as he got up and walked to the closet, rolling her eyes she raised her knees under the blankets and wrapped her arms around her legs and rested her head on her knees. Era didn't know what to say, but she did know that she didn't want Hiro to be moving around. But she doubted she could get a stuborn vampire to do what she wanted, nibbling on her bottom lip she yawned softly. "Hiro...come back and rest...please?" she called to him from the bed, as she looked at the closet. She wasnt in the mood to walk around even though Hiro wanted to go into the sun she was going to be as forceful with him about staying inside as she could, going back to nibbling on her bottom lip she looked at the bed sheets and twisted some of the material between her fingers thinking. Era always tended to nibble on her bottom lip and twist something, anything between her fingers if she was thinking.

Before too long, Hiro made his way back to the bed and without even thinking he dropped a few pieces of clothing on the floor and fell into the covers besides Era, completely exhausted. He watched with a frown as she was biting her lip. Hiro put a hand over hers softly when he noticed she had been grabbing the blankets with a nervous look in her eyes. Lacing their fingers together, the vampire put an arm around around her and just sat there with her, ignoring his pain, ignoring everything except for how sad Era looked right then.

"Im sorry bbydoll... you're right... sometimes I just don't... I don't what to do anymore. I hate this... People can change... yes? But... what do you do when you're not even human... and no matter how badly you'd want it to... that can't be changed."

Hiro gently lifted her head off her knees and put his hands on her cheeks. Without saying another word, and ignoring a tear that escaped his eyes, he kissed her passionately. Finally, he let her go a bit, nibbling on her lower lip as he broke off the kiss reluctantly, but not without laying down and bringing her to rest against his chest again.

"I don't mean to argue with you... honest... I'm... I'm just... scared really..." Hiro put a hand on his forehead in shame as he sighed lightly. "I'm rather an idiot, thats what I am." Laughing a little he smiled for his lover. "You're right... I'd rather just be inside today... with my darling Era..." Hiro softly ran a hand through her hair and hoped he could calm her down. "Please... don't worry... this pain... its nothing compared to what I felt when I thought I'd lost you to god knows what so many years ago... I'll be alright...I missed you so much bbydoll."

As Hiro stopped her from twisting the material between her fingers Era watched him as she listened carefully, she didn't want Hiro to change. She could live happily on a nocturnal routine if she needed to just to be with him and make sure he didn't try and go out in the sun, letting Hiro take her head off her knees Era smiled softly as he kissed her. Kissing him back she leaned against him gently before he broke the kiss.

Giving a small laugh as he nibbled on her bottom lip Era let Hiro pull her down with him, resting against his chest comfortably she looked up at him as he placed his head on his forehead and she shook her head slightly as she propped herself up making sure to not lean on Hiro to heavily, kissing his lips gently she shook her head again "You never lost me Hiro...I just got a little missplaced" Era said with a small smile. Laying back down against him she pressed against him comfortably "I missed you too...I missed watching you..." she whispered.

Hiro stayed as still as he could in hopes it would limit his pain but it didn't seem to make a different anyhow. With every breath it hurt that much more. "I'm being heaps selfish again... I'm sorry, please... just forget I said anything... except that I love you so very much." Sighing, Hiro shut himself up. How could he have just pleaded with her and rattled off his own problems, ones she shouldn't have to know and worry about? If he could, he would kick himself for it.

Before long, the vampire opened his eyes once more and they were no longer red, but his brilliant amber hues were a very faded and dull shade of yellow. They looked not sad, but more just lifeless and in pain. Hiro did his best to not breath too deeply and limit how many breaths he'd take, but it wasn't working too well. If felt as though he wasn't breathing at all, making him gasp softly a few times but then cringe in pain. Even though all of this, he did his absolute best to keep it to himself and not show Era how much pain he was really in, and how horrible he had been treating his body for years and years, but most of all he didn't want her to realize how long he had been denying himself the taste of blood. His past lover often drank from him time and time again, but he never once drank from her for his own needs. That went on for years. Even now, he had only taken blood from Era but twice, and it was no wonder his lust had gotten the better of him and he almost drained her dry. Still, he wouldn't forgive himself ever for it and if Era knew how his body couldn't deny the long drink he took from her, she would only want to forgive him that much more and he didn't want her to.

Hiro laughed a bit, only to then hate himself for not realizing it would hurt. Was he getting THIS used to all the pain?
"You're in my arms now, gorgeous. I promise you won't get misplaced ever again." He smiled, little bits of his fangs starting to show and he promptly hid them again in his pale lips. He knew he would have to tear them out again. "Was it really that much fun to watch a stranger wander on by every afternoon?" Coughing quietly, Hiro tasted blood in his mouth. "Do you remember that time I blew you a kiss? You gave me the most adorable little smile and wave. I shan't forget it for as long as I live. You had on this pretty white dress and I'd sworn I saw an angel looking down on me. Gosh and look at you now, you're only more precious."
