do you ever feel, feel so paper thin Six feet under screams but no one seems to hear a thing Snarling, Anastasia kept her eyes on the Novosi just standing on the other side of the street, watching her. After a few moments of the staring contest, she just started to pace back and forth, glancing up at them every now and again to make sure they weren’t going to make a move on her fallen friend. She had gone into this transformation ready to fend off a vampire, so having a slew of vampires around wasn’t helping her.
Her ears pricked up as the noisy flap of giant wings reached them. She snapped her head toward the sound and bared her fangs, fur bristling again. A giant hawk—falcon? Eh she could never tell the difference—was bearing down on them.
The oversized hyena snarled and stepped backwards over Ginny, careful to glance back to make sure she wasn’t going to step on her, and then hovered over the human protectively, head ducked down and teeth bared. However, the big bird of prey merely dropped off its cargo and continued on its way, but not without Anastasia leaping in the air and snapping at it, as if to say “be along your way!” She landed safely, stumbling a little bit when she nearly stepped on poor Ginny, but she was able to rectify herself and leave her friend in the state that she was already in.
It wasn’t the best of states, yes, but at least she wasn’t getting squished alongside the bite wound she was sporting.
Once again Anastasia snarled and turned to face the new intruder. This scent, however, was definitely not vampire, and it was enough to stay her hand for a moment longer, letting her mind focus on the familiar scent of werewolf. Her ears twitched as he started to speak, but she just growled, a sound that started in her throat and vibrated her whole chest. It was an almost indignant sound, as if what he was saying was insulting her. . . . Was he not reading the situation correctly? Could he not tell she only wanted to keep the girl safe. . . ?
Anastasia snorted and returned to pacing around Ginny. If the werewolf and the vampires weren’t going to do anything, then she could check on her friend. She moved closer with each round until she was next to her friend, and she ducked her head down again and gently nudged the girl with her nose, a undeniably desperate whimper reverberating through her throat. She was still breathing, Anastasia was sure of it. . . but why wouldn’t she get up?
Please get up, Anastasia thought, unable to process anything else for the time being except the fact that Ginny was in trouble and she had to protect her.
Again a Novosi tried to slide in and check on Ginny’s state, some brave vampire just wanting to help. Anastasia snarled and leaped at the man, swatting at him with a massive front paw, but she only tore a piece of his cloth free before he had returned to the other side of the street, where he was scolded mildly. Best just leave it to the werewolf that knew Anastasia better than the rest.
it's always been inside of you it's time to let it boom well hey there! this wonderful thread is tagged for the magnificent ginny and Urjasz! Fear defeats more people than any other one thing in the world
His words were useless and he found himself unsure of how to proceed. Another Novosi tried his luck, only to be scared off when he got too close. Anastasia was a smart girl but it had not crossed his mind that perhaps it was someone else controlling at that moment. Standing there, he watched how Anastasia moved and acted, trying to work out a way to get to the human. Lifting his cigar to his face every now and then, he was silent for a minute or two. Looking at the Novosi, he waved them away, believing them to be more threat than help right now. Most left immediately but a few hesitated, wanting to help. Again, Urjasz waved them away, this time stepping forward as if to give a final warning. With his back turned to Anastasia, he paused once more, finished his cigar and turned, flicking the finished cigar to the ground.
There was no need to talk anymore. It was clear that wouldn't work and he hoped that now it was just him that she would allow him near the human. Walking towards Anastasia in a quick pace, he knew he'd gain her attention this way and he was nearly tempted to keep on walking when he reached his destination. Stopping mere metres from Anastasia, he raised his arms and sat down on the ground, lowering his arms back down to his side when he hit the ground. Maintaining eye contact with Anastasia, he simply said "I'm here to help. If you do not let me help she will die. You do not kill people. The longer you make me wait, the more likely YOU will kill her." There wasn't any harsh tones in his voice but it was clear he was impatient in nature. If he was to wait he would, however he knew that this human might not be able to wait as long as him.
Sorry about the wait, been mental week!

do you ever feel, feel so paper thin Six feet under screams but no one seems to hear a thing She continued to pace back and forth, but stopped when she noticed the vampires moving. A growl rumbled in Anastasia’s chest and she ducked her head down, teeth bared and ears flat. Were they going to try something? Was this a trick? Or had they really given up on getting her friend? Well if that was the case, then it was good riddance!
Another movement caught her attention and she turned to see the werewolf making his way toward her. She turned toward him and ducked her head, ears flattened again. She didn’t make a move, though, figuring that so long as he continued with this pace, she wouldn’t have to deal with any surprises. However, that didn’t really seem to happen, because the hyena was certainly a little put-off when the man sat down on the ground a little ways away. The hyena snapped once at him to see what happened, but just stood over Ginny protectively.
“I'm here to help. If you do not let me help she will die. You do not kill people. The longer you make me wait, the more likely YOU will kill her.”
Her ears snapped upright and she lifted her head, jaw shutting tight as the words hit Anastasia like a brick. That simple phrase, the threat of Ginny dying because she was trying so hard to make sure that no one got to her, that no one was going to hurt her, seemed to be enough to snap her mind back into a more reasonable state and she looked back at Ginny, tail drooping.
A whine escaped her throat, and her ears flattened, but this time not out of anger. Anastasia looked from Ginny to Urjasz, then sat back on her haunches and lowered her head, ears drooped.
With the moment past, the threat gone, her body returned to normal. The sickening sounds lasted only a few seconds as her bones snapped back into a more familiar position, a more familiar frame, and her body shrunk considerably.
Anastasia pulled her knees to her chest and wrapped her arms around them, ashamed at her current clothlessness, but her eyes lingered on Urjasz and then she turned her gaze to Ginny. “Please. . . please help her,” she requested, uncurling from her modest ball and staggering to her feet. She was unsteady and stumbled back to the ground, dizzy from lack of energy due to the shift.

Fear defeats more people than any other one thing in the world
With an anger in his words, he knew he was striking a blow to Anastasia. She was no enemy of his but he had to be blunt or else she would kill by trying to protect. Even when she snapped at him, just inches from his face, he did not blink and he maintained eye contact. Should she attack he was ready to fight back. Her strength would certainly be in her favour and she was truly a great weapon but her mindset and youth was her weakness. However there was no desire to fight her within him and he was keeping calm much better than he would with anyone else. Anastasia meant a lot to him, even if he was unsure of how he truly felt about her. It wasn't often he had more feelings of love than hatred for someone. It was the one emotion that he usually didn't have for others. Loyalty perhaps, followed by admiration but never true love. Why should some little girl taken from the street in her quiet little existance be any different? It was the eye contact that would prove why.
As she stood there, acting the defender, he could see the words in her mind doing the damage he had intended and he could see the girl inside taking over. The hatred soon turned to remorse and with it the monster became the crying girl, helpless and exposed. Standing up, Urjasz motioned for the Novosi to return and he took the remaining steps to Anastasia. Removing his coat, he swung it around Anastasia and wrapped her up with it, hugging her close. Kissing her on the forehead, he watched the Novosi begin to care for the human. He could only assume she was the human Anastasia had mentioned before. "She's in safe hands now. As are you" he calmly stated, simply holding onto her. He had waited patiently for the monster to allow him near the one he loved and he had no intention of letting her go any time soon. It was only now that he was becoming fully aware of what had happened, having not been awake that low. Already it was proving to being a busy day.
Been fairly busy so sorry for the delay

do you ever feel, feel so paper thin Six feet under screams but no one seems to hear a thing A warm jacket was draped over her shoulders and Anastasia looked up gratefully, tugging the sides a little closer, tighter around her. Urjasz’s coat was nearly three sizes too big for her, but that was perfect for covering up her shame. She didn’t seem too worried about it, though, and just turned slightly in his grasp, comforted by his strong arms, to make sure that Ginny was being treated well.
“I’m sure she is. I’m sorry I caused such a problem. . . thank you for coming, though,” she said, her voice strangely even, as she looked up at him to make eye-contact for a second before sighing and shifting her weight to lean a little heavier into him. “We were attacked by some vampire kid looking for a meal. . . . Ginny tried to play vampire hunter but. . . well you see how that worked out,” she commented, waving a hand in her friend’s direction. Hopefully it wouldn’t be too hard to treat her. . . .
But Ginny should have come to her. . . found out what vampires could be defeated with. . . not taking advice from a TV show. . . .
Anastasia bit her lip, then looked up at her werewolf friend again. “She was attacked by a vampire once before. . . . I guess this is her second time getting bit. She. . . ah. . . mentioned something Buffy the Vampire Slayer I think. . . came with holy water and some wooden stakes,” she explained, wondering what they would make of this.
She looked down at the ground for a second and sighed. “She was braver than I ever could be.”

Fear defeats more people than any other one thing in the world
For once it was Anastasia doing the talking and Urjasz simply listening, watching the Novosi pull out all kinds of medical equipment to use on this human. He was trying to work out what kind of human she was, especially as Anastasia mentioned vampire hunting. There was a moment of dark thoughts, trying to decide whether he should go over and take the human out. Was she a hunter trying to worm her way into the mansion? Looking at how she'd done against one, he found himself disbelieving such a notion. "I'm just glad you're safe. Even the children of this world may be children of darkness. Sure she was brave, but it is you who is ok. It is you who fended off the vampire. There is no trace left of him. He is long gone." Although the vampire was gone, Urjasz could smell his trail, even if he had told Anastasia there was no such thing. It would be a useful smell to remember in the future.
"So you're hanging out with the victims of immortals now?" he joked, trying to lift the mood. "Are you sure she didn't just faint when you shifted in front of her? I saw a few humans being brainwashed by the Novosi as I turned up. A lot easier than trying to prove to them there is no giant monster running around." Their embrace was still solid and he felt like he was protecting her once more. It was perhaps the reason that he felt so strongly about her. He wanted to be there to protect her. When he heard that she was in trouble he had not even hesitated back at the mansion to get here. "I might not always be there when you need me but I swear I will be there as soon as I can be" he whole heartedly promised, kissing her for a prolonged period on the top of her head when he finished speaking.
Whoops must have missed this one last night. Not to worry!

do you ever feel, feel so paper thin Six feet under screams but no one seems to hear a thing Anastasia sighed sadly and looked over at Ginny, her expression almost pained for a moment. “He looked fourteen or fifteen but he was still taller than me,” she pouted, frowning a little bit. She didn’t actually complain vocally too much about her height, but it really was something that bothered her quite a bit sometimes.
Even after being around for twenty-one years, spending most of that time looking up at people and being looked down on, she wasn’t quite used to it.
Maybe bad things wouldn’t happen to her so often if she was taller.
The small blonde girl found herself leaning against the much bigger werewolf, taking a lot of comfort in his embrace. She smiled lightly at his joke and she shrugged her shoulders. “You know what they say. . . misery loves company,” she said, watching the Novosi do their work and unable to keep the feeling of uneasiness out of her mind. This was the second time Ginny had gotten bitten. . . . How many times could you get bitten before you just died from it?
“I’m pretty positive that she was unconscious when I shifted. . . . I did it because the vampire got to her. . . while she was trying to distract him from me.” Looking down at the ground, Anastasia sighed. “I suck at this life.”
“I might not always be there when you need me but I swear I will be there as soon as I can be,” Urjasz said, topping it off with an affectionate kiss to the top of her head.
Smiling, Anastasia looked up at Urjasz and nodded her head. “Maybe one day you won’t need to protect me all the time. . . . Maybe one day. . . I won’t be so scared all the time,” she said quietly, almost as if she was talking to herself rather than her werewolf friend. it's always been inside of you it's time to let it boom well hey there! this wonderful thread is tagged for the magnificent urjasz and ginny! they and Anastasia are hanging out in the road and having a grand old time catching up. Fear defeats more people than any other one thing in the world
There was a strange feeling within when he found out that the culprit played the image of a child to lure in victims. A child that would die soon. It wouldn't take too long for him to reveal himself as Urjasz hadn't heard of many children running around killing people. "I'll look into having him found. Child or not, he will suffer. Rest assured." The promise of blood settled his heart, but he was unsure if it would hers. She made a light joke in regards to hanging out with victims and he added "Anastasia: Victim Support!" Laughing gently, he looked back over to the human as a Novosi approached. "We're going to move her to the mansion. She needs some medical attention, but nothing we can't sort. We've put her in a chemically induced coma so she will heal completely before waking." Thanking him, Urjasz put his head againt Anastasia's.
"You don't suck at this life. You are my life and my life does not suck" he lightly joked, with a sense of pride within. "You always put yourself down when you shouldn't. It is no problem for me to look after you. There is no burden upon my back being with you. Together, we shall rule the world in our own little way, even if we just keep to the mansion. What ever you want to do, that's what we do." Little would she know that he truly meant to give it all up for her. The wheels were already in motion for him to retire and live a peaceful life with her. "Shall we head back to the mansion also? I see no reason to linger here any longer. Besides, we shall need to dress you." Motioning to a Novosi, the shifter disappeared and shortly returned driving a BMW, opening the doors for the pair.
Removal of Ginny is with her consent. Be it a week ago and not relayed to me via someone I shall not name

Do you ever feel like a plastic bag Drifting through the wind, wanting to start again Do you ever feel, feel so paper thin Like a house of cards, one blow from caving in Do you ever feel already buried deep Six feet under screams but no one seems to hear a thing Do you know that there's still a chance for you cause there's a spark you just gotta ignite the light and let it shine he enjoyed even the smallest of contact her and the werewolf shared, and Anastasia closed her eyes and just let herself lean against Urjasz, letting his warmth and his comforting presence just wash over her. “You always know just what to say, Urjasz,” she murmured, smiling as she looked up at him. Finally something good was happening her life. What the Novosi said worried her a little, but at least she knew that her human friend was going to be in good hands. She watched them for a moment, tending to her and readying her for her trip to the mansion. She almost wanted to ride with her to make sure was okay, to maybe be there to let her know if she woke up that she was among friends, but it would probably be too crowded in a car if she was there, too. Anastasia didn’t mind riding with Urjasz anyway. His comment about getting her dressed made her blush and look down at herself, remembering that she was completely naked under that jacket. “Oh. . . r-right. I forgot. . . I wasn’t wearing anything,” she muttered ruefully, tightening the jacket around her petite form. The black car rolled up as if on some sort of silent cue and Anastasia looked up at Urjasz, following him to the car and sliding inside after him, making sure the jacket stayed closed, her blush still present in her cheeks. “Probably gonna sleep forever tonight. . . ,” she muttered, trying to keep her mind off of her derobed state.
