For once Carmen was on a walk, not wanting to pick a fight. She hadn’t had a reason to pick a fight in months after meeting Agito. She wasn’t as angry at the world, she didn’t have teachers and her foster parents and even other peers yelling at her, stressing her out and pissing her off. That had been the real reason for her violent pass-time as a human. . . during the day she couldn’t strike her peers or anyone else who made her angry because it would be a hassle that she just really didn’t want to deal with, so she took her frustrations out on not-so-innocent strangers. It was their fault they were into hot-ass jailbait, so it was their fault when the bait bit back. Now she didn’t have any of those issues to deal with. Though she hadn’t gone to school that often, there had been times where her parents made her, but now she didn’t have to go to school at all. She was completely free of all of the people in her life that had plagued her.
Carmen was walking at slightly faster than normal pace, wearing normal girl clothes—you know, except for the katana strapped to her back that Agito had pounded into her, making it mere habit to carry it around with her—and she got a few miles before she decided she needed to turn around and head back. She hadn’t meant to be out for a prolonged period of time and told Agito that she would be back in a hour. He’d freaked out—okay, she was exaggerating—when she was gone for an entire day. He would probably get a little worried, and she wondered what he’d think if she didn’t show up in the amount of time she had allotted herself. Carmen was many things, but she didn’t often go back on her word—unless it was with someone she didn’t like, and she quite liked Agito so she didn’t want to make him unable to trust her. The fact that he trusted as much as he did already was something she was not used to it, but it was a good feeling and she didn’t want to ruin it.
When she’d left, the sky had been covered with thick rain clouds. In the course of half an hour, the clouds had moved on and revealed a full and glowing moon. Carmen looked up at as she made her way back the way she had come, sighing quietly. She had looked at that moon so many times before, and it hardly ever changed. With her new eyes, it looked incredibly big and bright. Looking away from it, Carmen decided to take a short cut through an alley. On the other side was a not-so-busy street—in fact, Carmen couldn’t find much life on that side of the buildings—and she figured it would be a bit of a calmer walk. However, the sound of heavy footfalls and the click of nails on pavement caught her attention instantly and warned her that her walk was no longer going to be calm. She drew her sword and whirled around at the same time, then jumped up and backwards, grabbing on to a brick that stuck out from the wall, her feet planted against the brick as if she was some sort of monkey hanging from a tree, her sword hand hanging by her side.
A massive black wolf skidded to a stop and snarled up at her, slavering jaws snapping shut on air. Carmen hissed through her teeth and opted not to fight the werewolf. On a full moon the thing was practically rabid, and it was twice her size. Most of her training had involved biped humans, so this four-legged animal was going to be completely different. However. . . it was a challenge that she couldn’t pass up. Her decision was made for her when the wolf ran at her, using its momentum to claw up the wall at her. Carmen slashed at it with her blade and sliced open the top of its muzzle, making it snarl in pain and fall back to the ground with a heavy thud. Carmen scoffed under her breath and pushed off the wall, landing down the alleyway a little way, facing the beast. It immediately charged her and Carmen narrowed her eyes, then rolled to the side and slashed at the wolf’s shoulder as it passed her. It dug in its paws and whipped around, however, and lashed out at Carmen with her claws. Something that massive and with a spine that could easily bend like that, Carmen couldn’t move out of the way in time and claws raked down her arm.
The katana clattered to the ground and Carmen snarled angrily, holding the her bleeding appendage to her chest. The wolf’s teeth were coming for her face now, and she did the first thing she thought to do, and that was grab a handful of dust and dirt that layered the alley and tossed it into the wolf’s eyes. It reared back and yelped, pawing at its face, and Carmen grabbed her katana and got to her feet, ignoring the lancing pain in her arm before delivering a powerful roundhouse to the side of the wolf’s face. It spun back and gave her a bit more time. The arm the wolf had mauled was hardly useful, and she was no good with her left hand quite yet. She could swing the sword and still use it to slash, but all of her power and grace was in her right arm. The wolf recovered and drove Carmen backwards, and she ended up with yet another gash in her upper chest. It was at that time she found the crack in the wall, and she dove for it, crawling up inside the little wall like a rat.
The foundation shook when the wolf slammed into the wall, Carmen snarled and sat down, waited for the wolf to lung again, and then stabbed violently forward, driving her sword through the wolf’s chest. It snarled and pulled back for a few minutes, leaving Carmen there, cradling her limp and hemorrhaging arm. Then the wolf came back, angrier than ever. Carmen snarled and lunged forward, thrusting her sword up and out, and this time she found the mark she had been intending to hit—the wolf’s head. Sharp, silver-infused metal met with the wolf’s scull and slid in easily—the mixed force of both Carmen’s and the werewolf’s lunges made it easy for the sword to penetrate. The wolf yelped and pulled back, tearing Carmen from the wall, as she still had a grip on her sword. Managing one last bite to Carmen’s shoulder, the wolf finally fell dead. Carmen snarled and kicked its face once in anger and pulled away, holding her arm and ignoring the pain in her shoulder long enough to put her sword back in its sheathe. She managed to get to her feet, and then promptly collapsed, her legs unwilling to work.
“Fuck me sideways,” Carmen hissed under her breath, willing her legs to do as she told him and she managed to get to her feet. Wait, she’d feel better if she fed, wouldn’t she? Again, she fell to her knees, but fell atop the dead wolf. So much fur! Carmen nearly dry-heaved from the thought of it, and she soaked her hand in some of the wolf’s blood and tasted it, then was almost sick. It was nasty! Who the hell would feed from a werewolf? Disgusted and too stubborn to admit to her condition, she forced herself to her feet again and started to walk. She’d told Agito she was going to be back in a hour, and she was going to be back in an hour, god dammit! However, she didn’t get even halfway through the alleyway before her body quit on her and she collapsed again with yelp of surprise and pain. Rolling onto her back, Carmen figured she could use a little break. The bleeding in her shoulder and arm had slowed, but it hadn’t stopped yet, the wounds to deep to heal completely. Refusing to lay down, Carmen propped herself up and leaned against the wall, trying to stay awake, but as always her body couldn’t handle it and she passed out, hoping she’d at least wake up before the sun.

Carmen said was going out for a bit. Agito nodded in response to her declaration because obviously she never asked him for permission to do anything even though he was acting as her sire. She left and closed the door door behind her. Agito heard a click as she locked it, and then her footsteps faded away from the door. Agito shifted his eyes back to the television screen. He had been watching the iron chef. Tonight's mystery ingredient were prawns. It was a fairly interesting show, one guy even made a prawn ice cream which had to be disgusting but it was definitely creative usage. Agito shifted restlessly on the couch. He had a bad feeling about something tonight. If there was one thing he'd come to learn it was that your gut was usually right. He had no clue what the feeling was hinting at but the loft was pretty secure. Which meant that Carmen probably wasn't safe or perhaps she had finally decided to leave. Either way he decided to follow her.
Agito left the loft and made his way up to the rooftop. He checked the area for a bit until he located Carmen off in the distance. He decided he'd stick to the rooftops and keep an eye on her. If nothing happened that would be great and if she was leaving well at least he'd know the truth on the spot. He followed her for quiet a bit. It seemed like she was going nowhere in particular, and so far nothing had happened and the feeling he had faded away. He decided that he was just anxious because she had almost gotten caught out in the sun a few days ago. He turned to head back to the loft. He glanced back and saw Carmen looking up. Agito ducked instinctively. Had she seen him, no that wasn't possible the angle of her gaze, she was looking up at the moon. He shifted his eyes towards the full moon, and wondered what was so interesting about it.
A snarl suddenly caught his attention and he drew his sword and spun around slowly. The roof was clear the sound had came from the alleyway below. He peered over the edge and saw Carmen battling it out with a rather large wolf. "So that feeling..." he muttered to himself as he watched. Having to face a were during a full moon was a pretty bad deal. They were at their strongest at that time, but from what Agito could tell this wolf was 100% beast, meaning it was young and running purely off of instinct. it didn't have an intelligent calculating mind behind all that killing power which was common in older weres. He decided it would be a good test to see how Carmen Handled herself. If it looked like she might not be able to win, as dishonorable as it was he'd intervene and end the fight for her.
Agito watched the fight intently. It seemed as though Carmen had the upper hand, but here stance. There were way too many holes. Was she underestimating this thing? Even if it was just a dumb beast it was still extremely dangerous. Before he could finish his thought the clatter of her Katana hitting the floor spurred him into action, or it would have had she not recovered it quickly. Her right arm had been disabled, and Agito wasn't happy with the way she handled the blade in her left. He had told her to train that arm so that there was no difference between which hand she wielded her blade with. It looked like she didn't follow his advice after all.
With a final yelp; the wolf fell over dead. Agito smirked "good girl" he thought to himself as he continued to watch. She crouched over the wolf and sampled it's blood. He could tell by her reaction that she could not stand the taste. That was something they didn't share in common. He watched her struggle to walk and then collapse. Was her injuries worse than he could tell from up there? She wasn't moving so Agito jumped down into the alleyway to check on her. She passed out, but she was alive....or undead...whichever fit the condition. He tried for a few minutes to wake her but she wasn't responding. So he gently picked her up and slung her over his shoulder. Taking her Katana in his free hand he began to walk quickly back to the loft. It took about 45 minutes to travel back due to having to carry her carefully. Agito walked into the lobby and hit the button the call for the elevator.
The doors opened and Agito peered inside the metal box. He didn't trust them but he had no choice at the moment. He stepped inside and hit the button for their floor. His stomach lurched slightly as the old elevator began to move and after a few seconds jarred to a stop on the selected floor. The doors opened, and Agito hurried through them making his way down the hallway to their loft. He opened the door which he had neglected to lock in his rush to catch which direction Carmen had went, and took her straight to the bedroom. He lay her on the bed and went into the bathroom to retrieve some dressing and bandage for her wounds.
He returned swiftly and checked her condition she was still out so he wasn't sure exactly what kind of condition she was in. He removed her shirt carefully. He couldn't help but think that she'd probably want to kill him when she finally woke up. Agito cleaned the wounds applied the dressing and skillfully wrapped them. When he was done he examined her carefully. From what he saw before he wrapped the wounds they weren't healing very quickly. He took her Katana and slid it across his wrist wincing in pain as the blade easily cut through flesh, and blood vessels. The silver would make the wound close slowly. That was acceptable. "Come on baby Drink for me" Agito stated as he forced Carmen's mouth open and allowed the blood that flowed freely from his wrist to drip into it. Every few moments he had to put his lips against hers and blow to force the blood down here through since she was passed out and unable to swallow. He held his wrist over her mouth until the blood began to slow indicating that his wound was beginning to heal and hopefully so were hers.

Carmen had indeed slacked off on her training when it came to using her left hand, and it had probably been why she had managed to get maimed like that. Perhaps when she woke up she’d be more keen on working with her left arm to get it to the point where it was just as good as her right. Maybe. She was incredibly stubborn and she hadn’t wanted to try that hard because she had always been quite certain that she wouldn’t ever need to her left hand for any reason. Well, now she had a reason to kick it up a couple notches. It was just like using her right one, wasn’t it? Simple enough to replicate. She gave a light groan when Agito picked her up, but she was out like a light. Throughout the walk home, though, she would come to for a few seconds, but it wasn’t near long enough for her to remember it when she did become completely lucid. The fight had taken a lot out of her—more than it should have—and her wounds weren’t helping. It hadn’t been an incredibly strenuous fight, but it had been the first real challenging one since she had first fought Agito. She had perhaps gotten a bit soft, as well. . . .
The first thing Carmen was aware of was the slow but steady trickle of something warm going down her throat. She could taste it on her tongue—blood. Much better than the last stuff she had tried. Her body still throbbed with pain and she wished briefly that she was still under so she didn’t have to deal with the stinging and throbbing. The more some of that blood went down her throat, though, the better she started to feel. Her good hand lifted slightly and found the wrist the blood was coming from and as she started to come to some more, she sealed her lips around the source of the blood and drank of her own accord, hardly aware of anything else that was going on around her except that the pain was ebbing and she was starting to feel better and better. However, she started to feel a little sick after a while and she laid her head back down, having lifted it slightly to feed off the blood a little better. She put her hand to her head and rubbed her forehead, not wanting to open her eyes just yet. “Agito-kun?” she murmured, wondering who’s blood it was that she had been drinking.

"oh your awake? How do you feel?" he asked curiously slightly relieved to have his arm back. She was pretty greedy when she fed after all. This was the second time she'd fed on his blood, and both times it felt like she was trying to drain him dry. Agito checked the dressing carefully. Now that she was awake and had fed on his blood they were probably no longer necessary. He plopped down on the bed besides her and side. She was such a handful at time. What if he hadn't went out after her? That was an east facing alleyway. She'd have been baked for sure this time. Agito slapped his hand down on his forehead and sighed. "You had me worried...that's twice in one week, your making this a habit" he said as he looked over at her. Carmen's eyes were still closed so he wasn't sure how much of this she really even registering. She could have passed out again.
Agito got out of the bed quietly and covered her with a blanket. She was still topless other than the bandages, and he completely expected her to make some kind of weird comment when she woke up about him do stuff to her while she was out. Agito turned out the bedroom light and closed the door. The sat on the couch and examined his wrist. It was nearly healed already and had not been an issue so he rotated to make sure it was healing properly then he lay down on the couch to watch TV.

Nothing was getting through the thick fog that blanketed Carmen’s mind. The blood had been enough to rouse her, but she was still pretty out of it—like someone who had just come out of surgery and was still under the effects of the anesthesia. She rolled over onto her side and slowly opened her eyes for a few seconds, but they were heavy like she was still tired. They closed soon after and she settled into the bed and sighed quietly. Unfortunately for Agito—or fortunately, however you wanted to see it—both times Carmen had fed from him, she hadn’t needed to bite him. If she had bitten him, he would have been a much happier person for a while, as the potency of Carmen’s fangs injected a form of endorphins that just seemed to overpower all sense of sadness. It might not have made the feeding feel any better, but the person would feel like they were on top of the world until the effects wore off, but most of the time when they wore off, they came crashing back down, and hard.
Carmen was only vaguely aware that Agito covered her with some blankets, and she was out again a few minutes later, but it was more of sound sleep than being knocked out. It took her only an hour or so to finally come to, her wounds starting to scar over—which would be hardly noticeable, but still there since the wounds had been deep and had come from a werewolf. Especially the bite wound to her shoulder. . . after all, most werewolves turned others with something in their saliva, and it was this that had made the bite wound so hard to heal over. It had reacted badly to her vampire blood, but not bad enough to kill her. She pushed herself up and her arms trembled slightly under the weight, but she managed to keep herself up. Slowly, she sat up and the blanket fell from her torso. The young vampire peered around the dark room, wondering how she had gotten there. Sitting back, she lifted a hand to her shoulder and felt bare skin. . . . She narrowed her eyes.
“Agito! What the fuck did you do with my shirt!”

Propping his head up on his hand at the sound of her voice Agito sighed. It seemed Carmen was awake and rather than being thanked for saving her; she was shouting about her shirt. Maybe he should tell her that he spent the last hour groping her while she was passed out. The idea was funny but she'd probably believe him and then what. Agito chuckled loudly at the thought. He didn't bother replying to Carmen. If she really wanted her blood shirt though she'd probably notice it at the foot of the bed in a moment once she got over the initial shock that it was taken off without her consent. He peered at the bedroom door for a moment before shifting his gaze back to the TV. The weatherman was saying something about the series of showers that they had gotten over the past few days had finally past and tomorrow would be bright and sunny.
Agito didn't mind the rain and he could care less about the sun. He ran his fingers through his odd colored hair for a moment. It was a bluish silver and people always assumed it was died even though it was his natural color. Humans of course couldn't have such a hair color naturally so it was fine that people thought it was died since they obviously thought he was human. "Don't worry I was gently" Agito responded loudly so she could hear him through the closed door. He was just joking of course. It was probably a safer joke than the one he was thinking of earlier.

There was no answer for the longest time. Carmen sighed to herself and ran a hand through her long blonde hair. It had dried blood in it, and she noted her shirt there at the foot of the bed and Carmen reached for it, then grimaced at the blood that saturated it and she tossed it toward the pile of dirty clothes. She threw her legs over the bed and pushed herself up to stand and find a clean shirt, but her legs gave out and she fell over with a loud thump before swearing loudly. “Don’t worry, I was gentle,” Agito called through the door. Carmen rolled her eyes and sat there on the floor for a moment. “Did I like it? Was it hot and wild like we talked about?” she asked loudly and sarcastically. Now that she was actually awake, she was practically back to normal. After a few seconds of sitting there, she slowly got to her feet again and headed for her dresser a little shakily. At least she wasn’t found by some random stranger and taken to the hospital like she normally was when she passed out in public. That was always a fun conversation to have with her foster parents.
Suddenly Carmen felt a little bad for yelling at Agito about her shirt. She sighed and pulled on a fresh one that was similar to the first, only colored darker blue and had a different image on the front and she slowly but surely made her way her way out of the room. The young vampire still seemed a little shaky on her feet, and she practically collapsed onto the couch next to Agito when she bent to sit down. She closed her eyes and took a few breaths, feeling as if she was going to be sick again. The feeling would pass when she got over the initial shock. “How did you know to come get me? Hope I didn’t hurt you while I was out. . . been known to hit the nurses when I came back the first few minutes,” she murmured, still seeming like she was a little tired. She was usually on edge when she first woke up—shown earlier when she’d found her shirt missing—but she knew she was safe around Agito and he wasn’t about to lecture her for being out this late at night, so she just closed her eyes and wound up leaning against him.

Agito sat up when she came out of the room finally to make room for her. She had found a shirt much to his slight disappointment. He glanced over at her when she sat down, and smiled. "I had a feeling you'd get into trouble so I went out to look for you after you left" he responded as she leaned against him. He was still a tad bit surprised that that mutt had managed to hurt her so bad from what he could tell it only actually touched her 2 maybe 3 times. It would have been a lot worse if it had been older. It was at least a good thing that she heeded his advise and kept her Katana with her like he had asked. If she had been unarmed she would have most certainly died.
"you really should work on your left arm....Its a common practice to disable your opponents sword arm. too many swordsmen are one dimensional and lose the ability to fight effectively one their dominant hand has been disabled." he advised a bit gentler than he usually spoke to her. It wasn't something that she needed to worry about right now but over time it would make her a much better swordsman. Perhaps she'd even learn to change the angle of attacks and strength to various degrees by changing hands at certain point during the swing. Of course he didn't intend to teach her. After all a master does not reveal all his secrets.

“I had a feeling you'd get into trouble so I went out to look for you after you left,” Agito explained. Carmen smiled to herself, but didn’t open her eyes. “Oh so now you just love me so much you can tell when I’m in danger, eh?” she commented lightly and sarcastically. Sighing, she continued to just lean against him as if for support. She was feeling a little lethargic, but she’d feel better once she rested. Or fed more thoroughly. Whichever happened to come first. Maybe she needed some sugar in her instead. She sighed quietly and then opened her eyes, looking at what was on the TV for the moment. News. Awesomeness. She didn’t pay that much attention, kind of drifting in and out, but she was starting to feel better. Maybe sugar would help. Slowly, she got up off the couch and headed to the kitchen, her movements having greatly improved already. Carmen no longer staggered when she walked, ands he wasn’t trembling. When she reached the fridge, she pulled out a candy bar and unwrapped it, then started to gnaw on the semi-frozen end.
Returning to the couch, she sat close to Agito again, chewing on her little Snickers bar. “You really should work on your left arm. . . . It’s a common practice to disable your opponent’s sword arm. Too many swordsmen are one dimensional and lose the ability to fight effectively one their dominant hand has been disabled,” Agito advised. Carmen nodded her head and gave an irritated sigh—but not at him. This whole ordeal had been entirely her fault and she knew it. She probably wouldn’t ever admit to it out loud, but then again she didn’t really need to. Agito knew it was her fault, and she knew it was her fault, so there was no reason for anyone to point it out. “I know. I haven’t really tried it yet, but I’ll practice a couple times and then it’ll all be good,” she commented. Her words made her sound a little over-confident, but she sounded rather frank, like she wasn’t just tooting her own horn. Slowly but surely she was starting to get more alert.

Agito nodded but didn't reply he was well aware of Carmen's ability to grasp things quickly, but that didn't mean she should slack when it came to training. That was something that Agito felt strongly about. If you were going to train you had to put everything into in in order to improve. Well normal people did, Carmen had a natural shortcut. It was convenient but at the same time it had made the method of teaching less effective since she picked things up so quickly that it wasn't necessary to go through with entire lessons.
If Agito looked at it that way, then the reason she was almost killed tonight was because he was not a very good teacher. He should have been stricter. If he had been then she would have never even been touched by that wolf much-less mauled. He put and arm around her and squeezed a little. "please put in some effort even if you get it after the first try...okay?" he asked sincerely.

Carmen didn’t mind when she felt Agito’s arm around her. She welcomed it, even. Silently. She’d probably never tell Agito she liked it until he told her first. She was stubborn like that. After all, it was the man’s job to make the first move, was it not? Well, kind of. Just because her reactions were hard-wired into her from years of being jumped, it would probably be safer if he asked her first if he ever decided to even so much as kiss her. . . . Or she could just save him the trouble and do it herself, but nah. “Please put in some effort even if you get it after the first try. . . okay?” he requested, giving her a slight squeeze with his arm. Carmen rolled her eyes and gave a sarcastic and exaggerated sigh, as if it put her off too much to have to do work, but she smiled and finished off the Snickers bar she had pulled from the fridge. She preferred them cold, otherwise they were always so melty and just a pain in the ass to eat. “Yeah, yeah. . . alright. But not because you told me to—I thought of it first you just said it aloud,” she teased with a wide smile.

A low chuckle escaped from Agito's lips as he listened to Carmen's statement. "What ever you say" he commented as he glanced over at her. This arm thing always worked in the movies right? Why where American girls so out of the loop when it came to these things? Or perhaps it was just a trait exclusive to her. In japan he had received many confessions of love, and took advantage of every single one. He'd been keeping his hint's subtle just in case she didn't feel the same but it was a bit difficult to tell exactly what the situation was especially with how sarcastic they both were about such things. You couldn't really tell when one of them was being serious or simply joking.
Agito flipped through the channels for a bit, but couldn't find anything that caught his attention so he handed the remote over to Carmen. He'd had suggested they go out somewhere tonight had she not almost died less than 2 hours ago. For tonight staying in would be the best course of action. Maybe he could cook something that would make her feel better about the situation. No that hadn't been shopping like...ever. There was nothing to cook. they had a lot of left over Chinese food and stuff in the fridge but a lot of that was probably bad by now.

Carmen smiled slightly as he dismissed her statement and then leaned her head against Agito’s shoulder. It was a little strange how slow the two were movie, and yet every time they managed to progress, it was pretty natural, like they had been doing it for weeks. Had Agito attempted to put his arm around her when they’d first met, he probably would have lost said arm and then had it fed to a wild dog. So, it was probably a very good thing that everything was moving at a snail’s pace. She sighed quietly, then looked up at Agito. “Did you carry me all the way here?” she asked, taking the remote when Agito handed it to her and flipping her way through the channels. However, she couldn’t find a whole lot to watch, either, so she stopped it on a movie she recognized as Without a Paddle and just set the remote on the table. “Nothing on. Mm. . . tell me, what’s it like living for hundreds of years? A year ago I was just trying to figure out what I was going to do with just twenty years. Or less. Honestly I wasn’t sure how old I was going to live to be,” she commented, not sure where she was going with the conversation, merely talking to talk.

Agito simply nodded when she asked if he had carried her all the way home. It was fairly obvious wasn't it? How else would she have gotten there? He figured she was just trying to make conversation, so if he didn't respond verbally her attempt would have been wasted. "I sorta rolled you down the side walk in a log like fashion....your pretty cylindrical when your past out" he joked as he settled his eyes on the movie she had chosen.
He glanced over at her when she asked her second question. "tell me, what’s it like living for hundreds of years? A year ago I was just trying to figure out what I was going to do with just twenty years. Or less. Honestly I wasn’t sure how old I was going to live to be,” it was an interesting question perhaps for one who had not experienced the truth about living for centuries. Agito leaned his head back a bit and examined the ceiling as he thought the question through. "I suppose It is comparable to moving around a lot. You try not to get attached to anyone because you know that eventually they'll be gone similar to when you move away from a familiar place. Yeah I think that's what it's like. Like constantly moving to a new place even though your still in the same place as always" He tried to explain it in the way an American would understand. Everyone had a friend or family member that moved away so it was easier to relate to the feeling.

“I sorta rolled you down the side walk in a log like fashion....your pretty cylindrical when your passed out,” he replied smartly and without missing a beat. Carmed laughed slightly and shook her head. That was something she hadn’t expected him to say. She didn’t even have anything to retort back to him. Instead, she chuckled at something on the TV. She was strangely in a good mood despite the fact that she had just been mauled by a wolf and had almost died. It was probably a mix of the candy bar she had eaten, though the young vampire had always been in at least a better mood when she was around Agito. It just kept improving, too. The bitter and lonely girl had changed—though, only when around her surrogate sire. Outside of him—as shown when she’d come across that hunter who had only wanted to help her—she was still abrasive and did anything she could to drive people away. Agito was like-minded, which was probably why he could stand her sharp tongue, but no one else would ever understand her.
Carmen looked up at Agito as he thought her question through, her head tilted to the side slightly. “I suppose It is comparable to moving around a lot. You try not to get attached to anyone because you know that eventually they'll be gone similar to when you move away from a familiar place. Yeah I think that's what it's like. Like constantly moving to a new place even though you’re still in the same place as always,” he explained to the best of his ability. Carmen tilted her head back to think that through, and it actually made tons of sense. “Oh okay. So it’s going to be no different from being ferried between foster homes. Awesome. At least I’ll have one constant in my life now,” Carmen replied, looking back at the TV. She was of course eluding to the man beside her, and she reinforced with another few sarcastic comments. “Unless of course you die or just get tired of me.” Carmen looked at him and grinned.
