Agito smiled at her remark. It seemed like his subtle advances were paying off. He wasn't 100% sure because of how difficult she was to read, but it at least felt that way. At the very least there friendship had solidified. She wasn't as withdrawn from him as she had been in the past. It was actually surprising that she didn't hate him, and hadn't left a long time ago. After all he was very hard on her. Not as hard as his master had been on him, but still he hadn't went easy on her. Initially because of her natural talent; He had intended to mold her into a weapon he could use to further his agenda. Another sword in theory, but as time had past things changed. He found himself wanting to protect her rather than the other way around.
It was fine this way, he never doubted his ability to move forward on his own. So not having Carmen be the weapon he had intended didn't make much of a difference. Besides this way as better. "Are you hungry?" Agito asked curiously? He was sure there was still some Chinese in fridge that had not gone bad yet. He looked over for her, but doubted that she was hungry after all she had taken a lot of his blood. He was feeling the strain as a result but it would soon pass.

No smart comment. Carmen grinned and went back to paying semi-attention to the movie. Carmen had always sort of liked Seth Green—though technically she only saw what was on commercials and what movies her foster families had forced down her throat, but she wondered why he didn’t get more work. Eh, it didn’t really affect her, now did it? Carmen seemed perfectly content to sit there with Agito, and it was strange, because when she had been in her foster homes he couldn’t wait to get outside. She had always thought it was because she didn’t like sitting around all day and that she needed to have something to do, but now she was starting to realize it had been because she hadn’t wanted to be around any of the people she knew. Her foster family, any of the people at school. . . she had been so violent and mean that eventually the requirement had to be that the family didn’t have any other children of their own. There had been a time when she’d hospitalized her foster parent’s son when she was ten because he had told her something she didn’t like. . . . That was back when she had been living in Wisconsin.
“Are you hungry?” Carmen heard Agito ask. She turned her head up toward him, not having quite realized what he was asking right away. “Hmm? Oh. No, not particularly. Though. . . I think I’m going to get in the shower for a little bit. Got all this dried blood in my hair and stuff,” she muttered, pushing up off the couch and stretching her arms over her head. She rolled her shoulders to crack them a couple times, then headed toward the shower, dragging her fingertips along the wall as she passed by it, disappearing into the bathroom and jumping straight into the shower after stripping all of her clothes. The warm water felt amazing against her cold skin—the only time she got that warming sensation, the only thing that was still the same from when she was human. Carmen didn’t necessarily miss being human, just a few little things about it, liking feel warm and cozy, and despite everything she told Agito, the feeling of the sun against her face. All of that would go away after another year or so.
After a few minutes of scrubbing the blood of her, then got out of the shower. There was something missing, though. “Agito! Where did the towels go? They’re not here anymore!” she called, opening the door half-way through the little rant, leaning out of the door so that her head and shoulders appeared. “Did you take them to clean them, or did I? I can’t remember. . . . Probably on account of the fact that I was mauled. Or am I being stupid and they’re just in the closet? Oh but that requires me leaving this room. . . trackin’ water everywhere. . . .” She had kinda started talking to herself halfway through, but was still leaning out the door and eyeing the linen closet that was on the other side of the hall all and next to their room. Carmen was normally a little out of it after passing out like she had, and so she had completely forgotten to get a towel before she went in to take a shower.

Agito watched as Carmen scurried off to take shower; leaving somewhat of a void where she was siting just a moment ago. Agito picked up the remote and pointed it at the TV planning to change it. The movie itself was no where near being interesting to him. However he had been able to endure it because Carmen was there. Now that she taking a shower, it only took him few moments to change it to the Jazz music channel. Agito tapped his feet rhythmically to the beat. He wasn't sure how long it had been but after a few songs he heard Carmen's voice shouting his name.
Agito listened to her intently. It seemed that she had forgotten to get a towel. He wouldn't have minded her trailing water through the house as she made her way naked to the hall closet to collect a towel or two. Heck he wouldn't mind if she did everything wet and naked, but alas life wasn't that accommodating. Agito stood up and maid his way to the closet. He opened the door and retrieved two towels figuring she'd need one for her hair too. Agito took the towels into the room and over to the bathroom door where he held them out to Carmen. He didn't bother diverting his eyes. He had already seen em anyways, so there shouldn't be any awkwardness about him seeing them again right? "Do you want me to dry you off too?" he asked sarcastically with a mischievous smirk.

He didn’t comment about her forgetfulness, and Carmen watched him make his way from the couch to the linen closet, where he pulled out tow towels. “Oh I just need one,” she said before he walked all the way over. It was a waste to use two towels. . . her hair could dry all by itself just fine. She reached out for the towel when he got close, but let her arm hang there as he spoke. Carmen was hanging half-way out of the door, her shoulders and head the only thing visible behind it. She wasn’t much afraid of being seen naked, but just because she wasn’t afraid didn’t mean she wanted to be. “Do you want me to dry you off too?” Carmen smiled slightlyand snatched the towel away from him. “Just gimme the towel and go fantasize on the couch,” was her remark before she closed the door and spent a few minutes drying herself off before wrapping the towel around her and grabbing her old clothes. Opening the door, she went to her room and threw on some more clothes—real pajamas this time, instead of her normal sweats and a t-shirt—and then came back to the couch. “So, what’s the plan for tonight? Just gonna hang around?”

Agito shrugged as she she took the towel and dismissed him back the couch before closing the door. He walked over to the window and gazed out at the park for a moment, then made his way over to the fridge. Agito grabbed a bottle of water, and opened it taking a big swig. By the time he finally sat down on the couch Carmen had gotten dried and dressed and had made her way back out to the living room. She asked what they were going to do tonight or if they were just gonna stay in. She was already in her pajamas so obviously she expected the latter.
Agito shrugged at the question. He wasn't sure if going back out tonight was the best idea, but it would definitely beat a night sitting there in awkward silence. "Your choice" he responded, putting the decision in her hands. If she wanted to stay in, they would If she wanted to go out that was also a possibility. Agito ran his fingers though his platinum blue hair frowning at one snagged on a tangle which he promptly removed as he waited for her response.

“Your choice,” Agito relented, barely tearing his attention away from the TV to look up at her. Of course, she was no longer half naked so what reason would he have to stare? The thought made Carmen roll her eyes. She would have liked to think that all men were the same, but she knew that wasn’t right. Agito wasn’t anything like the guys that had been at her schools. For one thing, Carmen could tolerate him. For another thing, he was definitely cuter than half the guys at her school. Y’know, for an Asian. Not that there was anything wrong with being Asian. Oh never mind. Carmen sighed and moved into the kitchen to pull out another candy bar. She was feeling dreadfully low on sugar, so she wasn’t bothering with the turkey just yet. Carmen was starting to get incredibly frustrated with how everything was moving. . . . They flirted constantly and they obviously liked each other, yet what was so hard about just admitted it finally? She stood by the counter and watching the TV from there until she finished her candy bar, then walked toward the couch.
Were they afraid to tell each other? That it might ruin their friendship? Well, Agito might have been, Carmen wasn’t for sure, but she surely wasn’t. She had been virtually alone for 18 years of her life. Surely she could handle several more years. What was the worst he could do? Kick her out? She could find somewhere to live by herself, and she’d already learned everything she knew from Agito. The only thing keeping her around was the fact that she actually felt something for the boy. Carmen was ninety-nine percent sure that he did, too. No one had ever dealt with her as long as he had, and if he didn’t feel something for her he wouldn’t treat her the way he did. Carmen came to stand in front of the TV, an annoyed look on her face and her hands on her hips. “So when are you planning on getting over yourself and telling me how you feel about me, hmm? I’m getting so very tired of waiting for you to confess your love,” she commented bluntly, no hint of sarcasm in her voice. She meant business.

Agito raised an eyebrow and gazed up at her. It took a few moments for him to comprehend the situation since he had been caught completely off guard. For a good minute he simple stared. His mind worked quickly attempting to figure out what exactly was going on her. "err....wha?" he said before he leaned back in the couch and chuckled."You seem pretty sure of yourself" He stated whiled running his fingers restlessly through his platinum blue hair. He wondered what would happen next. " Well I guess the cat's outta the bag" Agito said as he stood up. He had to be careful about how this situation played out. He couldn't afford to lose Carmen even if it meant denying everything. It seemed like she was pretty sure of the situation however so playing it off would probably complicate things.
"I can't deny that I do feel very strongly for you" he admitted without breaking eye contact. He wasn't used to this kind of thing. Usually it was the other way around, and he was the one being confessed to, and what was with the way the came up and pretty much demanded it. Apparently his pace was a bit too slow for her liking so she had to jump start the situation. It wasn't a totally disadvantageous situation. He knew for a fact now because of this that she was obviously more interested in him than she had been letting on. Was this some sort of preemptive strike so that she didn't end up being the one confessing to him? It definitely seemed that way because here he was telling her his feelings when she had not said anything of her own. Yup he had been totally beaten by her for a second time now.
"I've wanted to tell you for a while now, but I didn't want to lose you as a friend if things weren't the same for you" he stated before plopping back down onto the couch. "probably not the best course of action, but what else should I have done?" he asked never taking her eyes off of her own. The eyes always betrayed their owner no matter what if you were good ate reading them you could almost read the mind of the person into who's eyes you peered.

Agito seemed rather put off by her forward demand. For several seconds he just stared at her like she was some alien who had just beamed herself through a window. Carmen cocked an eyebrow at him, her head tilting slightly to the side as she just watched him expectantly. In some crazy way, this was how Carmen was telling Agito that she had some strong feelings for him. Of course, she would probably wind up having to tell him straight up how she felt, but for now this would do. Sometimes you just needed to break the ice. Finally, he seemed to have found his tongue and stood up off the couch to become eye-level with her. “Well I guess the cat's outta the bag. I can't deny that I do feel very strongly for you,” he said at last, and a weight seemed to have lifted from Carmen’s chest. Of course, it was a fairly small weight: she had always known that he cared about her. She was surprised that he hadn’t been able to tell that she had some sort of feelings for him. After all, she hadn’t left him yet, even though that had been her intentions from the start—Carmen had only thought Agito would be worth hanging around in order to learn how to be a better vampire. Of course, not everyone could be certified geniuses like she was.
After a few seconds, Agito sat back down on the couch. “I've wanted to tell you for a while now, but I didn't want to lose you as a friend if things weren't the same for you. Probably not the best course of action, but what else should I have done?” he asked her, his dark eyes locked on her crystal blue ones. Carmen rolled her eyes and slowly made her way toward Agito. She wasn’t moving to the space next to him, though. No, she was coming at him, but not in a threatening way. He could no longer be trusted to take this any further. Perhaps it was just because he was forever sixteen, which technically was two years younger than Carmen. Men! “If you leap, a net will appear,” she recited. Hopefully he would understand that she wasn’t trying to attack him and smacked her, but if he did, she’d just hit him back and sulk in her room. All of this was entirely new to Carmen, as she had never been able to get close enough to anyone to like them this much. She hadn’t the slightest clue what was considered kosher for this, but she had seen her share of movies and couples in the park. How hard could it be?
Carmen set her knees on the couch, straddling him almost. The young vampiress wasn’t exactly shy or modest, and she did a lot of things that most people wouldn’t even think of because she lacked the necessary emotion called fear. Her hand found the back of Agito’s neck and she leaned forward enough so that their lips met. The only time Carmen had ever been exposed to this kind of affection was in back alleys after being jumped by some drunk, horny letch that deserved to get the crap beat out of them by a hundred-pound girl. Carmen didn’t mind trying new things, and it seemed that Agito wasn’t about to take this into his own hands, and she was just plain tired of waiting for it. She wasn’t at all afraid of losing Agito over it, or of being rejected. It was what it was, and she would be pissed for a few days, but eventually—maybe—she would have gotten over it after going out and beating a couple people up to relieve her stress. Where most people would be terrified, Carmen merely got more and more angry.

She approached him intently, and Agito watched her curiously until she was pretty much in his lap. She leaned forward and Agito almost sighed expecting to be teased as usual. Even to the moment that her lips touched his. At this point he was a little shocked. He was about 90% certain that he had fallen asleep on the couch and that his mind was playing some horrible trick on him, but for some reason that 10% was holding a lot more weight. Agito accepted the kiss readily, as he pulled her closer and embraced her against himself. After the kiss he let her go and smirked. "either way I look at it....That was well worth the wait" he thought to himself as her lips finally pulled away from his own.
Agito wondered if this was a good idea. He and Carmen were very similar after all and like a magnet with a similar charge they tended to repel each other almost as often as they connected. Besides he didn't let the thought escape him that this may be her acting out as a result of the trauma she may have suffered from being mauled by that wolf earlier. He had seen a similar plot in many movies where women fell for the person that saved them. The feelings weren't real however, and were more so born out of necessity. If that was the case he wouldn't take advantage of the situation. So he had to know. " How about you? You to have keeping your feelings to yourself haven't you?" he asked. He could have gotten the answer on his own assuming her mental defenses were as weak as they were when a had met her, but the meditation had strengthened them conciderable and he could not even access surface thoughts without her noticing and she wouldn't like that one bit.

He didn’t seem at all bothered by her advance—he even welcomed it by pulling her closer. Carmen didn’t particularly keep track of how long their kiss lasted, but she found herself a smidge disappointed when it ended and the pulled away from each other. Had she been a normal person, she might have been blushing. However, she was in fact Carmen and a vampire so she wouldn’t be blushing. Carmen noted his smirk and returned it with one of her own. “How about you? You to have keeping your feelings to yourself haven't you?” he asked, probably wondering under what state of mind she was actually acting upon. It was true that some people would be a tad riled from the stuff that had happened to her that night, but Carmen was no ordinary person. She had been beaten pretty badly before, and she was a sturdy girl. By this time tomorrow, she would have forgotten about it. When her wounds healed, that was the end of it for her. Carmen rolled her eyes at his question. “No, I’m totally sitting on your lap and kissing you because I hate you,” she replied sarcastically with a shake of her head. Smiling, Carmen wrapped her arms around his neck, holding him to her.

"point taken" Agito responded to her sarcastic remark, and kissed her neck gently a few times. Making sure to keep his fangs retracted, which was difficult considering the current situation. She wouldn't mind if he bit her would she? Probably...Agito moved away from her neck and kissed her on the forehead, while playing with her hair between his fingers. Now that things turned out this way he could no longer use her the way he had intended to from the start. Putting her into harms way for the sake of his goals was not something that he was comfortable with anymore. Agito closed his eyes and leaned back into the couch. His hands on her waist as he smiled up at her. "I knew you wanted me from the start" he joked with a big happy grin on his face.

Carmen closed her eyes as Agito started to kiss her neck, and she wondered how long he’d waited for the chance to do this. When he stopped, she opened her eyes again and smiled when he kissed her forehead and leaned back, taking her along slightly as she still had her arms around him. Carmen hadn’t ever had this kind of affection before since her family had been destroyed, and she was liking it. Right then she was perfectly content to sit there like that. “I knew you wanted me from the start,” Agito remarked with a wide grin. Carmen smiled and rolled her eyes and shook her head. Someone was a bit full of himself, wasn’t he? Then again, when wasn’t Carmen full of herself sometimes? “Oh please you wanted me waaay more than I wanted you from our first meeting! I’m surprised you’ve gone this long without throwing yourself at me,” she teased just loud enough for him to hear her. She rolled her eyes and sat back a little bit. For once, Carmen wasn’t exactly sure what was going to happen. Normally she had every one of her actions plotted out and she accounted for every possible outcome, but this time she had been flying by the seat of her pants, and she wasn’t sure what came next. She wasn’t about to admit that, though. No point in it.

Agito smiled up at her as he remembered the night they first met. His left forearm throbbed a little under the memory of her fangs. Had he wanted her from that night? Not really...Carmen had simply been the first Vampire he came across with any sort of decent skill no matter how unrefined it was he easily recognized it and saw away to cultivate it and use it for his own means. The situation with her foster father simply made her easier to convince. At the time he saw here as nothing, a miserable speck of an existence. Like a lone candle outside during a strong wind. Agito smirked,oh how she had changed. He tightened his grip on her waist and leaned forward a little and began to kiss her neck again. This time however he allowed his fangs to extend and bit her lightly barely hard enough to break the skin before his lips closed around the area.
Carmen's blood tasted a bit different than he expected, but in a good way. It was less human like than he had expected which was a bit unusual for fledgling which was usually why he didn't feed on them often. There was no point in taking an above human prey if the quality of the blood would be the same as the easier target. Agito removed his lips from her neck a small droplet of blood ran down the corner of his mouth. He had only taken a sip and in such a way that she probably welcomed the feeling besides from this moment on. His neck was hers whenever she wanted it. "Hmm maybe" he finally responded to her comment "but vampire or not I'm still a man you know"

His first response to her jeer was to hold her closer. Carmen smiled slightly as his lips met with her neck once again. The two of them had been using each other from the beginning—means to different ends—but how did that quote go? “A guy and a girl can be just friends, but at one point or another, they will fall for each other. . . . Maybe temporarily, maybe at the wrong time, maybe too late, or maybe forever.” Carmen barely flinched when he took a small sample of her blood, but Carmen didn’t get defensive and accuse him of trying to feed from her—after all, he had mentioned several times that he preferred the blood of immortals—and it was over almost as soon as it began, but on some level Carmen had thought it rather nice. It reminded her of the cat one of her families had that would always nip—love bites, the foster mother of that family had called them. By now Carmen didn’t even recall what her parents had been called then. She remembered the cat’s name, though. . . . Gizmo. Animals were much better company than people sometimes.
“Hmm maybe. But vampire or not I'm still a man you know,” he pointed out after a few seconds. Carmen grinned slightly and leaned forward to clear the droplet of her own life fluid from his mouth with her lips. She moved from the area the droplet had been, and then gave him another light kiss on the lips. Carmen hadn’t ever been in this situation before, so she was just doing what she thought she should do, and what felt right. Never before had she even dreamt that she would live long enough to find someone who could put up with her shit and attitude, but all it had taken was one lonely vampire. Ironic how both her and her original sire had wanted some form of companion, but Tommy had not gotten what he wanted when Carmen had. “And what do you mean by that, exactly?” she asked with a smile, knowing very well what implications his statement might hold. However, it was always nice to hear them say it out loud, wasn’t it?

Agito couldn't help but smile. Carmen was the only woman he'd ever genuinely had feelings for. There had been others in the past, but they were simply and object of his lust and nothing more. She was different in ways he could not even begin to explain. Agito shrugged at her question. "I wonder?" he stated not extremely comfortable with talking about feelings and the like. Besides what was with Americans and their need to have everything laid out for them? "I do believe this may interfere with our working relationship" he jokes as he ran a finger across the two small punctures on her heck from his fangs. He was relieved to see that they were healing quickly. It meant that she had a moderate resistance to his ability which was a good thing. He kissed her neck a few times again, working his way upwards to her chin and finally stopping on her lips once more. This kiss was a bit more forceful than the last, and he nibbled gently on her lip urging her to part them. He had made up his mind that for now this should be as far as they went. As much as he wanted her, moving too quickly would only complicate this situation more so than it already was.
